I've gotten several calls from this number on my cell phone. They never leave a message and it hangs up when I answer. I googled the number and it lead me here; I have bought tickets for shows at both Met Opera House and Lincoln Center, so that must be where these noodle-heads got my number from. The [***]!

Received a call from this number a few minutes ago. I didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number. Actually googled the area code while it was ringing, got this site. Weird. I've never bought tickets from "the MET" or anywhere similar. No message left.

I checked their client list and Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association is listed and I am a member of that organization, I;ll have to let them know that 8 calls in the last week is excessive.

I answered the Pub Interest call (finally) after it came in once a day, and it was the Defenders of Wildlife. I told them that I donate when I can and that calling me isn't going to make me donate more. I asked them to take me off their list. Now I have to deal with the 8014841107 PIK people, and I have NEVER given to the Met Opera!

This number is from Defenders of Wildlife.  I am a member but they sure have been rude to anyone answering the phone except me.  They hang up on my daughter every time she tells them she is not me. What gives with the rudeness? And they never leave messages either. Is that anyway to run a business and get people to help?

This call originates from a professional fund raiser soliciting for a cause I've supported in the past.

We receive calls from this number and another number they use 3-4 times a day for weeks now.  After they called at 9:00 ET last night I did research and found that it is pub interest, web site http://www.pubintcom.com/ go to clients and see if you ever donated to one on the list, that is how they got your name and number,we donated once to WNET, now they won't leave us along!!!!!

I have been getting calls from this number for weeks. They never leave a message. I finally answered today and they said they are the AOPA. Since my membership had expired, it may have been a legitimate call.

I never answer these idiot numbers...

I'm also a contributor to the Met Opera.
Has anyone let the Met know how irritating this is?

I also get three a week from these strange creepy Utah folks . I also am an ex member of A.O.P.A from Tennessee so these fools are nationwide

I started getting calls from this number about a week ago; show Gambler at Met on March 31st.  They call every day at around 11AM.

Yes, the Met Opera took your phone number for tickets, donations, etc., and have sold it to a third party. Thanks a lot, Met!

Yep. Me too - one performance at the Met. It was quite good so maybe this is just part of the admission price in our "new" economy.

same story here... i have sent my info to the Met too... so perhaps it's the case.

I have been getting these calls too, same szenario - rings once or twice and then hangs up, same caller ID. Definitely the Met. They have been burying me in literature (I actually got 2 letters from them yesterday) and calling me from their 212 number (although that seems to have stopped), and now this third party. I called the 703 number as advised, and the lady transferred me to some guy, and he said he would put my number on the do not call list. We'll see if that holds true.

so i have called the Met and asked them to take me off their calling list and i STILL get these wacky calls where either they hang up or leave a voicemail thats just people talking in the background. SO freaking annoying! and creepy- and honestly a little tacky for something like the met.

Glad I'm not the only one.  I bought tickets for a show at the Met, now these wackos keep calling me! 3 times a day!?! I'm really disappointed in the Met- I thought they were a bit classier than this.  I'm glad I stumbled upon this site, though.

Several "courtesy" calls left on our machine.

We have supported the Met Opera, and attended the HD movie performances, which seems to be a thread. If it is the Met, it's not a good way to build good will. I will contact the Met, asking them to cease & desist.
