Calls my cell phone everyday. I never answer. Anyway to block the call?

This is not just for the Met only. It is a company hired by various organizations for fund-raising purposes. BTW, fund-raising is excluded from the Do-Not-Call List. After ignoring a call a day for seven days in a row, today I got two calls. I answered the second one. It was an attempt to raise funds for the Civil War Preservation Trust (CWPT), which I had supported previously. I ignored several snail mail solicitations to renew, so they hired this outfit to pester me incessantly. No more support for the CWPT from me.

I too have recently harrassed by this number. I think it's the Alliance Theater in Atlanta. I guess I made the mistake of giving my number somehow when I bought tickets to a show a couple of years ago and now they are making me pay for it.

This kind of crap drives me nuts. Nice customer appreciation!

Call 793-847-8300 to complain about the Public Interest Communications Company directly and get your name removed from their list. They keep calling us - I say deluge them with calls. Here is my story:

I have been receiving the same aggravating calls. Today I picked up the phone on the second ring and got a recording saying "sorry we missed you." If you want your name taken off the list call us back. When you call back you get a recording asking for your phone number. This made me angry enough to search the companies website that is listed above. The Public Interest Communications Company does not evidently want you to call them. I did a websearch of their locations and found their "real" phone number
and spoke to a woman and told her how aggravating and inefficient their fund raising system is. I also told her I would be complaining to the group that released my information to them - Boston Symphony in the hopes that they will drop them as a contractor. Call once a day, I do not answer based on ID

They are soliciting for the US Ski Team

Called yesterday (11/07) 12:03 PM.  No message.  If they call again, they'll get to listen to the local real estate listing channel!

Keep calling and hangs up or asks for someone that isn't me on my cell phone

11:13 AM today--no message.  Morons.  I'm going to take Bob's advice and deluge 703-847-8300 with phone calls.

I had a missed call today (11/17/2007) and no message.  I called 801-484-1107 and I got a recording telling me that they "called me on behalf of one of my favorite charities and to leave your number to be removed from their list."

I live in Washington DC and I've given money to our local public radio station (WETA) and I've also attended shows at the Kennedy Center.  I'm assuming they got my number from one of those organizations.

They have started to call me in the last week.  I am not sure how they got my number.

Plenty of calls.  Went to their site (http://www.pubintcom.com) and asked them to stop calling and inform me who gave them our number so we could be certain never to support that organization again.  No response as of yet, but we will see...

We just received a call from this number as well, the second one in a week. It turns out that they got our info from the World Wildlife Fund.

It's pretty sad that such a renown charity resorts to using such measures.

Worst still is this company itself: they call you with an automated message and expect you to call them back!? Absolutely insulting.

Hi, everyone. This telemarketing group does a lot of things, but in our case - they represent AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association - calling to get me to renew my AOPA membership. That takes some real nerve, btw. I'm on the DNC list, and never authorized any sort of sales calls to my private home phone. They really suck for doing that. Where in the world do they get their balls???

yep, its the met.  went to one show there last april and I get a call from this number like clockwork around 2pm pac.  its just unbelievable.  last time I give out my number
