I'm getting 6-9 calls a WEEK....getting angry! I am on the NO-CALL list and have no outstandeing debts. . .  what is this? Any wat to stop it?

I keep getting these calls. I received 2 today and picked up and waited for about 5 seconds or more and noone came to the line

I have turned them in to the FTC but they said nothing is wrong

Darn them for calling just as I had two babies asleep in bed!  They said nothing.

ASked information reference OBama Health Plan and other political questions. first call when asked my race i said white no further question asked. Thirty minutes later same number called for race I said Hispanic and they asked me political for twenty minutes,

Called at 9pm Central!  I am unlisted and on do not call lists. Let the caller know exactly what I thought of them and that it is unacceptable to be calling at this hour.

This number just won't stop calling. I've deleted it from my caller ID like 5 times in the past 2 days already!!!!

They called at 3:30 A.M.!!  just searched to see who it was.  but 3:30 in the morning, I was sleepin

I received this call twice, no one on the other end answers.

I'm really sick of getting these calls on my cellphone. There's a bunch of these 801#s. I'm already on the DO NOT CALL list but it doesn't stop them. I am also VERY ANGRY with the fax spams. My complaints to the FCC has done nothing... I just wasted time filling out the forms, copying the faxes and postage. It's so easy. Why don't they just cut there phone line or tell us who they are and we can fax them out of business. I can't stand it. Waste of expensive ink and cell minutes.

8:38 PM this evening. Caller ID read OGDEN. I said hello, there was the requisite pause as the dialer found a human. She said her name and Western Wats, all info spoken quickly and in part unclearly. I stated it was rather late here and would she take us off their call list. She very politely said she would. Nuisance call. So tired of all of them.

This number (or slight variations) has called 3 times wtih no human connection. Filed a complaint with the FCC

just got a call for them....asking questions about construction equipment...just another scam

Recieved call on cell at 8:30 pm EST no message left

Have received several calls from 801-823-2022, most recently yesterday, 02/26/10, while we were out.  Did not leave a message.  Caller ID stated, "Out of Area." We have also been on the DO NOT CALL list.  Is this a scam?

Getting them too.  The company has many names and is a major player in political "push polling".  Their first job is to find out if the phone line is alive and in use.  Then they want to see when you answer the phone if you use an answering machine.  Once the first two objectives are met they let their many telemarketing bodies or nodes have their way with you.  They will not stop until they decide to stop.  The politicians use them as well as soda and cracker makers. A 1,000$ fine is not going to stop them.  Good luck.

This number is calling me 3 times each weekday evening for the past month.  When I answer the phone, there is no one there. They leave a blank message.

Western Wats/Charlton/Opionology are all the same. They are not telemarketers. They are legitimate researchers, if there is such a thing. They do NOT come under the Do Not Call laws so all your complaints to the FTC are useless. If you look them up under the Utah Better Business Bureau, it explains that only sales calls are restricted. Political calls, research calls, and calls in anyway tied to businesses you once did business with are exempt. Thank you "paid under the table" politicians for that!

So the only way to deal with these are traditional. When you see the numbers on your caller ID, do not pick up. If you are sure of the number, blast a loud horn in the phone, though I think this is counter productive and they may put you on the call alot list! Get in your phone company bundle the option for call blocking, then block all the numbers they call from. Some options for call blocking allow calls to be blocked where the caller ID reads "out of area" or "private" or "blocked", etc.

What we are now doing is to make a "do not pick up" list and post it at the main phone. When we see these numbers come on, we just don't pick up!

Multiple calls at annoying times, no one answers. Per info below seems to be a survey company from Ogden Utah  No way to stop them ??
