- KarolThis is your 900th final call to lower your interest rates on the card that you will give us the info about and we will use to steal your identity and ruin your credit. SCAM!

- LivYet another scam call. This number is spoofed, and these folks are running a whole number of different scams. If you get a call from these folks, then be happy in knowing that you have made the criminals call list. There is NO way that they shall stop calling you. The only way for these scammers to get stopped, is for folks to quit answering unknown numbers that call them (unfortunately, not viable for some). Someone is keeping these folks in business, as they have been operating for many many years now.
- Caller: scam
- I hate spammer/scammersTell then that they have reached the U.S. Attorneys office
and this call has been traced. - Mogilb replies to CarrieNo, these are the same people who keep trying to "give you a lower rate on your credit card"....for some strange reason, they actually left a message today.- they usually do not! Once I get their number I have a feature on my phone that will block future calls from that number; they're persistent, in that I've got a bunch of their numbers blocked....and I will never answer a call from anyone I don't know!
- MoGilb| 1 replyFor those of you frustrated by the DNCL not working, relax, it doesn't work!!!! I think the original idea for it was noble, but it quickly got out of hand - today they (Richmond,VA on caller ID) actually left a message - which they've never done - that they wish to....blah, blah, lower my interest rates....then I promptly blocked their number - they must have hundreds of numbers they use, so the next time, I'll block the next one, ad infinitem.....
- Caller: Richmond,VA
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Agent OrangeDeath to telemarketing scum!
- LNCcalls, leaves no message, won't stop calling
- JoeTold the lady I was on the do not call list and she starting dropping F bombs at me so I threw a few back and told her to eat doo doo and get a real job"

- Spaz in OR| 1 replyFor any scam/telemarketer calls: Buy a sports whistle, keep it by phone. When you get a live person, blow that whistle as loudly as you can. Trust me!! They won't hear out of that ear for a month LOL
- Caller: Out of area
- Call type: Telemarketer
- AnotherMike replies to MoGilbActually, the DNC list *does* work.
I don't think I have received a call from a legitimate, honest business since I got on the list, shortly after it was started. The only ones that still call are the crooks, and they are going to break the law, no matter what. (If they are willing to break one law to call you and thousands of others, you have to wonder what other laws they are willing to break to get your money.)
If you don't believe me, take yourself off of the DNC list and wait 2 months, and you'll have a HUGE volume of calls. The difference will be that you will begin to get calls from some *legitimate* businesses, in addition to the criminals that now ignore the DNC list. The real businesses follow the law, and you never hear from them; the ones still calling are all the criminals. - rj"unknown caller" on the caller ID. no message. Another newly spoofed number. These people make money simply by placing the calls to phones with caller ID. If they were charged for each call, this would stop. Google callerID4u.com. I can't believe this is legal.
- AnotherMike replies to Spaz in ORYes, they will. The phone circuits have limiting filters. While the sound may be annoying, it will never reach a level that will injure anyone.
To test, the next time you're on the phone with someone have them yell into it. At your end it will come through a little louder, but sound mostly like muffled shouts. Same for the whistle, air horn, and other annoying sounds. The sound will be louder in your house than it will be at their end. - JohnMost people don't realize that the person blowing the air horns etc are the ones most likely to suffer hearing loss, thus, the scammers, besides bothering them, will cause them to purchase a hearing aid--maybe the scammers realize this, and will start up a telemarketing hearing aid scam.
- [***] replies to RobertASI don't know about your congressman , but mine is not on his office or the nations capitol. He is either at the taxpayer supported gym, or smiling about his tax supported health and pension benefits or he is out collecting bribes( ooops) I mean political donations.
- Adolph Goring replies to BethMy c-man is extremely busy --out collecting bribes....I mean political donations.
- Yes replies to dorseyhIn 2012 three companies were fined. One was issued a cease and desist order. The company was Canadian. They immediately filed bankruptcy and the officers of the former company purchased the assets from bankruptcy court and started up again. BTW they use call forwarding from Vancouver to what ever US city they designate.
They also made significant contributions to GOP and Tea party candidates???? Illegal you may ask? HMMM Have you noticed that the US congress does not talk or do anything about the DNCL violators. - Bat Masterson replies to dorseyhyou use the DNCl so you call and annoy people but if someone does that to you ........you freak out. Tea party member correct?
