- RinaCalled 3 times last days, left the message on my answer machine to call back on 1-800-298-6359 with ext 813232
- Caller: Citibank
- John replies to SkorpioGuys, there's a thing called spoofing. Just because you call a number back and it appears to be legitimate doesn't mean that's really the number that called you.
- bobThis is a number stating that it is from Citibank, but in reality it is a fraud. They're fishing form information about you such as date of birth, other bank account number, such as saving or checking. Do not give out any information to these crooks. Don't know why the real Citibank doesn't do anything to try to stop this fraud from happening.
- Caller: Fraud Alert not from Citibank
- NannyCalled and left a message saying to call them back with a code
- Caller: Citi bank
- not citi replies to -LyndaFergIt is not citibank calling. They will never NOT leave a message. I just got a call from this number, called CitiBank and it wasn't them.
- JaciThis is Citibank. I even called them and confirmed. As it turned out, I WAS a few days late on my payment and had to go to my bank to trace the payment. It simply had not been received by Citi.
- Caller: Citi
- Call type: Debt collector
- MichelleThe keep calling my phone, twice this morning, I keep not answering .I don't know anyone in MO. I figure if it was important, they would leave a voicemail for me to not call them back. I do have a citi card, but I do pay on time and only the minimum so they should be calling to thank me for all the interest.
- ElkaAt first I thought it was a Scam because of all of the "scam" messages online. But I called the fraud department of Citibank and as it turns out - this is not a scam. It was a courtesy call alerting me to the fact that my card was indeed overdue in the amount of $59.00. I rarely miss a payment, but I had this time. So if you have any credit cards issued by Citibank or Citicards, mine was the Aadvantage card, you actually may have an outstanding balance. Just call citibank and try to figure it out. They also removed the late fee on my account, so it might be worth it to you.
- Caller: Citi
- Call type: Event reminder
- TJ MartinSorry folks but I just called CitiBank on their 1-866 -775 - 0524 number to verify the 816 420 1002 KCMO number and this one is is for real . CitiBanks KCMO Collections office . Luckily for me they were in error on this one [ I keep a zero balance ] but for those of you with over due bills with them ... take this seriously and pay before your Credit Score is affected
Again .. 816 420 1002 ... Absolutely IS CitiBank Collections- Caller: Citi
- Call type: Debt collector
- Agrivated replies to A harrased personThis is spam Do not give any information!!!!!!
- Worth double checkingThis was Citicorp. To be on safe side, I called number on back of our card rather than give any info to this automated 800 caller. They sent new cards in mail awhile back that we hadn't activated and said that was reason for call. Wanted to insure we received them.
- Caller: Citicorps
- TommyReceived there calls from this number today. Called Citi bank to find out. Citi confirmed that this number was not from them or their affiliates. DO NOT give any information to anyone calling from this number.
- Newyorker| 1 replyIt must be a scam. I do not owe any bills to anybody at all. Do not give out any information. Citibank will never call you for a late payment.
- Kathleen replies to Senior LawyerThank you, I needed to hear that. I am at peace now. God Bless You Senior Lawyer.
- N/ACaller ID said Citi. The voice recording prompted to press 1 for more info. After pressing 1, it tried to confirm the name of the person who they're calling for. I pressed 2, because they called asking for a person who I never heard of. Then they asked if I'd like to remove my number from their list, so I pressed 3, and then they asked me to stay on the line until they get a representative to confirm it. At that point I hung up, because it seemed like a bunch of bs. There's absolutely no need for a live person to confirm the info which an automated system has already collected, which was to unsubscribe me from their call list.
- ElleReceived calls from (816)420-1002 three times a day these several days. A voice mail was left every day to ask me to call (800)298-6359. So I searched online and people said it's scam.
To be safe, I just called the credit card phone number on Citi Bank website. The lady from Citi Bank said they DID try to call me to let me know I missed the payment for January.
I forgot to verify the phone number I got from the calls I received. So I cannot tell if that phone number is a Citi Bank number.
I would suggest to call the phone number on Citi Bank website or on the back of the credit card to check if there is something wrong with your account.- Caller: Citi Bank
- Call type: Debt collector
- Elle replies to NewyorkerI have three credit cards from Citibank. I received a call from Citibank stated that I missed a payment for one of the cards last year. Theses few days I received calls from them again. I called Citibank number on their website, the lady said they did contact me regarding the overdue of my another card.
So they DO call people for late payment. However, I would suggest to call the phone number on their website or on the back of the credit card instead. - JeanThey have left no messages here. They finally called when I was home to pick it up. It was a robocall wanting me to update my contact information and demanding my cell phone number.
- Zoonds808 replies to fbHa- I have been ignoring these calls for months. I thought I owed nothing. Finally answered. Turns out my overdue balance has been $2.49. Paid it and I'm still getting called by this number, but now no one answers- no recorded message, nothing.
- VicGot a call from this number and when it came up CITI on the cid, I decided to look up the number and read these reports, so we checked and our card is paid up, we don't have anything overdue. Suspect fraud, don't give any personal info, call the number on the back of your card instead.
