This is a scam. If your account is a few days late it was a coincidence. If citi calls they will reference the last 4 digits of your card number.

This is not a spam call. This is Citibank credit cards calling about late payment.

I am very sorry to hear that happened to you. My experience was almost identical, because I do have credit cards with Citibank, and believed they were all up to date. However, when I went online, it turns out somehow a statement they emailed never made it to my new email address (in spite of my changing my email address two weeks before the statement came out!)

I hate that they called at 8am, and got a rude online Chat representative who felt the need to insist it was my fault that they sent the statement to the wrong email address!) but it was, indeed, Citibank.

Why would you give anyone your password? No one should be asking you for your password.

It's CitiBank/Citicard what ever you want to call them. It's nota sales call, they just want you to pay your bill!

This is not Citibank ....it's a scam....no such number at Citibank !!!

They called my Trapcall says it's an individual landline out of NJ and is fake. It asks me for information to pay a Citibank card and I don't have a citi bank card.

dozens of calls ...Citi hasa told me the number is not theirs...I called to find out more...wanted credit card number and SS...woman with strong accent...told me she was in Manila

They asked for my sister and called many times. Shows up as Citi Bank. When I pressed 2 as not being my sister they asked me for a social number . When I said I wasn't her they hung up on me. Shady

Receiving calls 4 times a day every day.  According to Citibank neither the Caller ID # or the number the message says to call are Citibank.  I just got off the phone with them.  The fake numbers are:  816-420-1002 and 800-298-6359

They call 6 times per day even late on Sunday evenings. I now have the number blocked!

This is a scam. I do not currently have a Citibank card for several years.  Amusing twist- there appears to be an effort by the scammers to litter this type of message boards. I mean, it makes sense. More and more people are checking numbers.

We have known that for years.  If you know who called you and why, there is no reason to look up the number to learn more.  Yet there are a ton of posts in here where people allegedly did exactly that.  These people are what is known as a shill for the scam, where they try to convince others to pick up the phone because the call is allegedly real.

They leave a message on my phone. Asking for someone by another name. Saying it is citi bank & they need to talk to this person etc. Plus they leave the statement...not a sales call. Wrong number& wrong person. I don't answer nor do I call bk. Blocked.

Allegedly Citi (bank)   Says it's Citibank gives an 800 number and a 7 digit personal code to hear a messge and claims not a sales call...   Somehow I can't believe that Citi bank would robo call 3 or 4 times a day from different numbers.

Called about 10 minutes ago from a different number in same area code. Same recorded robot voiced message to call Citibank, at a different number with a 7 digit "personalized code".  Not buying it.

It is not a scam. It is legit Citibank automated call when your account is overdue. My AA city card had a balance of $95 because of the yearly amount fee. I called Citibank and they explained everything. I asked them to close the AA card and they did. I ended up owing them 7 dollars which they charged to my bank account.

Yes it is Citibank. I am glad I called them back because I owed them a silly yearly fee on my AA card which I do not use. They refunded me most of the yearly fee when I cancelled the card.
