- Caller: ??
- TombosrGot 22 calls this weekend, didn't call back. I pay my account on-line if there is a problem they should indicate this at the on-line account or e-mail me. As soon as I can get [***] (citi) card paid off they can kiss rosy red.
- Caller: Citi Card
- Moe| 1 replyreceived several calls over a period of couple of days. Never called the number since a message was never left. After reading the above email thread, if it in fact this is citibank, that's not how they do business. So, be careful.
- AunTee replies to jannaI bet this is important and helpful information but I had trouble understanding. Is this "text type"? I guess I should take a class. It'd be nice to have the info translated.
- AunTee replies to DaleG| 2 repliesThat's great you took the time to call Citi from the number on back of card. I bet they, like so many other CC companies and banks, are trying to use off-shore call centers. Looks like Citi probably found the cheapest and least effective service possible. And to that I say, ANYTIME you get a call from someone reminding you to pay your bill, or offering you some service enhancement, ask them if they are calling from the USA. They'll usually say YES, but they're referring to the company they're representing being a US company. Ask again if they are physically in the USA. Most likely they're not. At that point, ask to be transferred to an on-shore CSR (customer service rep). They must oblige (or I'd refuse to speak further with them. I mean, c'mon! Do you really want to give any sensitive info out to someone calling from a world beyond-beyond?). If we all do this -- refuse to speak to off-shore call centers -- what do you think might happen? ... Answer: they'd have to bring those jobs back to the USA. It can work. Spread the word.
- BRS| 5 repliesThis is a legitimate caller and really is from Citi -- they called me to let me know a payment was late (a bill had gotten lost in the mail). This is definitely *not* spam!
- Caller: Citi
- tired of robo callsThey've been calling for weeks. Do not have an account with citi, my dil answered and they asked for rhe person who pays the bills. Then left a message on my answering machine to call about our account.
- Caller: Citicorp
- stevethey call as citibank collections
- Caller: citibank

- Anonymouse| 1 replyAs others pointed out - it's legitimate and from Citibank. I checked the accounts I hold with them, and indeed, the minimum due on one account had gone up slightly, so I had underpaid by a whopping $11.58. I immediately made the next payment due online, called the customer service number on the back of my card and was assured that the late fee that had been assessed ($25) would be removed and the account restored to good standing.
The next day, I continue to receive calls from this number, but since it's Saturday, I assume that the calls will stop on Monday or Tuesday at the latest, since obviously the "collecting" arm does not seem to receive updates about your account in realtime, so they just continue zombie calling.- Caller: Citibank

- nadera balkissoonStop calling my job dont know who you are and I dont need strange calls
- Not so stupid| 2 repliesIt's phishing.
It's not your legit citicard.
If these people call you to phish for your number, and you just happen to be late on your other, real citicard, that doesn't make these people legit. If they make enough calls, it will so happen that some of the people they call are late.
Never give info over the over the phone to anyone.
They just called here, claiming to be "Citi Client First." The person said she was calling about such and such a card and I was behind on part of my payment for July. Lie. Phish.- Caller: "Citi Client First."
- Me again not so stupid replies to Not so stupidTo add, they are using a Ring Central number, so they could be calling from anywhere. Be sure to complain to ring central too. http://www.ringcentral.com/whyringcentral/contactus.html
- scientistI do not peak up a phone calls from strangers. I am going to lock this phone number.

- I hate CitiThis number has called my home and cell number 14 times in 4 days. Every time I pick up there is a delay and then the call is disconnected. THIS IS HARASSMENT!
I believe it is a Citibank backed Sunoco card that had the calls start when the payment was 5 days late. Payment has been mailed and the robo harassment continues.
This may be the robo-caller to other Citibank backed accounts. They obviously don't want to spend money on live people calling about a 5 day late payment, otherwise the card holders would flip out, like I am.
I will NEVER bank with Citibank. If they are the financing arm of any stores, such as Sunoco, I will immediately stop using that retail service. I have already cut my Sunoco card in half and I never buy gas at a Sunoco station again.
These BANKSTERS have to be stopped.- Caller: Citibank

- JVGot a bunch of calls from them. left me numerous messages to call and "verify" my account. Put on hold when I tried calling (thinking its a scam) and switches back and forth. Finally today got thru and they wanted all sorts of personal info and my acct number. BOGUS all the way
- Caller: Citicorp
- MinnesotaNiceI have a Citibank account in good standing. After getting 4-5 calls a day from this number for the last few weeks, I emailed Citibank and demanded they stop or I will close my account.
This is their reply: "As you requested, we have processed your privacy choices. Please allow 30 days for these choices to become effective."
I don't know why it would take 30 days! If they do not follow through I will post again.- Caller: Citibank
- Call type: Telemarketer
- VIEThis phone number showed up on my caller ID. Asking for my checking account number. Claiming that she's from Citibank. I have not missed payment, yet she wants my checking account number...When I asked for call back number, she gave 866-680-8628. She was a little upset when I told her I will not provide her with my checking account information. Thankfully I did not give her my information. Someone from Discover Card is doing the same thing. I don't even have Discorver card.
