They call a lot after they cancelled several paid cards because 1 was late.  They are sometimes wrong about due dates, payments, cards they accept, most delinquent etc.  I pay one, then they find another account more past due.  If I could pay, yes, and they won't take a credit card, debit/gift card like new Starbucks debit Visa, etc.  They take same day payment from either debit card checking or debit reloadable non-gift Visa/MC.  No to new Starbucks Visa, it got declined by their system, then blacklisted.  Works fine at Walmart, T-Mobile.

annoying scam call from CITIBANK out of state

Claimed to be collection from Citi bank. They wanted me to pay on my SEARS Citi account. I have NEVER had any charge account with Sears. When they kept asking for personal information as birthdate and social security number I refused and said you sound like a scam and hung up. The day before I received a call about my social security account which they claimed I would be arrested if I did not call 209-676-8853. I told them Sicial Security and the IRS never call people and hung up.

First the caller ID said "Robo- Caller".
A woman named Marissa called me right after I made a payment to my Home Depot account & she wanted me to confirm that I had made the payment. I get emailed a confirmation so why did she need to confirm that I had made a payment? Anyways she then asked me if I could tell her what card I used to make my payment because the payment is still pending on her end & she wanted to make sure I had made this payment. If she knew I had made the payment why did she need to know more? I looked up CitiBanks number & it starts with a 1-800 number.

The lady called me at 8:50am asking to pay $80 because I missed payment to renew LLC and they reported this to collecting department. She want me to provide the payment info over the phone...I was very confused because I always pay my bills on time...She told me to call 888-620-2309 and make a payment as soon as possible.  I am glad that I did this online research...Thank you for all comments!

A woman called sounding very professional and legit asking me for personal information. Said I didn't pay  January bill for home depot.  It is Jan so that was my first clue. Then I got off phone and spent 15 minutes checking my Bills to see if I paid it. I had paid it and this [***] was phishing.  It's very upsetting that this happens.

I get these calls also, I looked it up, it is a landline from ONE guy  named Anthony P Guarraci from New Jersey originally it said...What a loser!

Apparently you've never heard of phone number spoofing.

After reading some of the responses regarding this number I decided to call the number back.....When they finally answered she asked for my account number and I responded with, I see this number has been listed as a SCAM so I'll call the number on the back of my card and see what Citibank wants.  She then asked for my SSN, I told her DEFINITELY NOT....I'll call Citibank myself, then she hung up..SCAM!!!

Calling my phone even when it is on the Not call List...

This was Citi Bank calling regarding my Best Buy card.

This number has called me so many times. I finally googled it to come to this page and it's all making sense. I now have blocked this number.

They have been calling 3 times a day for a week now.  I called Citi Fraud line and reported them--hopefully they will STOP!!! Citi Fraud line called the number to check on it AND THEY CONNECTED ME TO THAT NUMBER... WTH!! & THEY STARTED ASKING ME PERSONAL QUESTIONS... I HUNG UP.

I have received several phone calls from this number over the past few days so I picked it up to see what they wanted. I am well aware of scam calls so when they asked if I was _____ my name____ I said “this is” instead of yes. They then proceeded to ask me the question 3 more times in different words, trying to get me to say yes. I hung up on them. They did say they were from Citibank.

This is a scam, NOT Citi Bank. The spelled it "City' Bank..  There is never a voicemail left. If in doubt, doublecheck with CitiBank cust service directly .

This number continuesously calls but never leaves a message. It needs to stop. This number calls at various times of day and night.
