Fubs - thanks for the link , I did not get that newsletter  but I have been contacted before by the Bridge Group so I am sure I (and any other investors) can get on the e-mail list to get any future ones. There is a lot more going per the newsletter than I had found online, so thanks again for posting the newsletter link.

Not Okay, Tamianth , Don B., Charlie C. et all - here is your chance to ask away any questions you have, as Toy Guy has indicated he will be happy to answer them. Not sure if you are all long term or short term investors, if you have been in since the early days (5 yrs ago) I can understand your frustration as it seems like things have been delayed and delayed. But reading the newsletter , I have to think that things are moving ahead on all fronts.

I am an investor from 2005.  Invested in a BOP dud that went nowhere (Love is the Drug) and bought stock in Alpine based on the premise of the Oz project.

I would have been a lot more patient had the key players made an effort to keep all of us informed and apprised of what is transpiring.  All of us-no matter what we invested-should be treated respectfully. Seeing all of the negative information-and there is plenty of it that is verifiable and not annecdotal-it is discouraging.  I went into this knowing I could lose it all so I did not invest my life's savings.  I thought instead of keeping what I invested in CDs etc it would be a fascinating way to get a return on an investment.  Back in 2005 I was told the Oz project would reach fruition in a few years-and it is now 8 years later.  Once again, it is the lack of bonafide keeping us all in the loop that has me chagrined.

    Not Okay,
I understand your frustration. For a number of years there was a lot of rah-rah but no action. There was talk about big things coming, but there was the need to always raise more money. It does seem that professionals are now involved. I do hope that when the film is finally released in May we will see a huge hit and our years of waiting will be paid off handsomely.

To find out that Alpine stock is worth less than 5 cents is scary.  Have any of you seen the financial statements?    Shouldn't the movie be listed as an asset of some kind?   The balance sheet seems pretty low  for all of the money supposedly poured into this project.  I am not feeling very positive right now, especially after watching Oz The Great & Powerful the other night and seeing what a mediocre film that was.

    Not Okay,

I do not own any Alpine stock. All of my investments are via Dorothy of Oz & Emerald City of Oz. I have part of my Oz investment in an IRA. I bought shares at $1.00/share. The IRA statement shows that shares now worth $3.00/share (which is the current share price).

Don't compare the animated Oz movie to the live action Great & Powerful movie. They are two totally different things.

Doesn't that mean that Dorothy of Oz shares should be sold for $3 per share? Has any one out there paid more than $1 per share? Is there a market to sell these $3 shares?

Perhaps you have not read the thread very closely.  The discussion has not been about recent investments in Dorothy of Ox/Alpine etc. but investments that occurred years ago.  I would say those of us who have posted here routinely learned from this experience well when making current financial decisions.

As already mentioned, make sure you read what we are talking about before you spout off your dribble. We are talking about purchases made years ago. I had been out of touch with the project for awhile and one of the posters here put up a nice link that had some good updates. Another poster (Toy Guy) offered to answer any questions anyone might have. If you have a legitimate question, ask it.

I am also an investor.  I too invested with my IRA.  I bought shares at $1.00 and it still shows the value as $1.00.  You said yours now show the value at $3.00.  Can you verify this information?

If you have to check on the status of your "investment" (and I use the term loosely) on a site like this, you were not qualified to throw your money away in the first place. Err, I mean make this investment.

Scammers cream their pants when they find victims like you!

Absolute SCAM........yes there is a movie. Yes it will make money. You will not. Your funds are part of a Ponzi scheme. I asked to pay for an independent audit and was turned down.

In order to have a scam qualify as true Ponzi scam old investors would have to be paid with new investors moneys. As far as I know no investors at all have received any return whatsoever on any of their investments, and as such this does not qualify as a Ponzi scam. It is just a simple case of a whole lot of fools being separated from their money by a team  of professional con men.

So you're saying that most of the proceeds of the movie, which will be released on May 9, 2014, won't go to the investors but rather will go to Greg Centineo, Ryan Carroll, etc. In that case they have setup a pretty good con.

There is some worthwhile information that gets posted here and it is good to read what other people think who are part of this "family".

I can only speak for myself.  I am not a scammers dream.  Now, anyway.

Pretty strong accusations , with no facts to back it up. I listened in with a buddy to the update call the other day , did you? There will be an indepedent accounting firm to handle all the cash in / cash out. Some other updates provided on the digital properties, future plans, etc. All positive stuff happening  - again no guarantees but not what you claim it is.
