- feddddupI am listed on the do not call list and still get calls from this bottom feeder. The do not call list seems to be a joke. I hope the attorney does sue them. My bills are all current and this is a real obnoxious nasty entity probably working out of a kitchen somewhere.

- LogicalAvante USA is a collection service out of Houston, Tx.
http://www.avanteusa.com/
They specialize in Credit card, medical bills, and debt buyers.
They are vicious in their dealings and use scare tactics that are dangerously close to being against the law according the Fair Debt Collection Act.
They have no 800 numbers, and use an automated dialer to make calls and leave messages, so answering the phone will not get you anything except one less message.- Caller: Avante
- annoyedI had a message on my answering machine tonight from a female. It's a very nasal sounding voice and I can't make out if she is identifying herself and her company. The first thing I can make out, I believe she states she's from the financial solutions department "regarding a very important decision that is currently in the process to be finalized in regards to yourself. You have until today, Monday, March 15th, to return the call. My number is 832-476-1740 and my direct extension is 618. Return the call immediately." The actual call came in at 9:16 a.m. today, and my call i.d. simply says "Southwest", 1-281-501-7533, which when I google, says the number is an "unpublished landline in Houston, TX and is unavailable for free", so to google the number, they want my credit card number and my cell phone number. Yeah, that'll happen. She never says who it is in the household she is looking for. Sorry honey, no one in my house owes anybody anything.

- schoupGot several of these robocall messages from these people. I will not call this place back b/c i know I have no outstanding debts and have a 790+ credit score. Second any place that was a legitimate business calling me from out of my state would have a 1-800 number or toll free number. This may be phishing scam for people trying to do ID theft or somebody running a mom and pop want to be collection agency out of their home.

- IrisLyonsThey keep calling me as well. They threaten me on the answering machine that they will turn the matter over to the court in my county. They also want me to settle with them for less than what they say I owe. I don't owe them anything. They also call more than once a week. Getting tired of it.

- Tom YI received one of these mysterious calls from Tom Jacobs this past Friday. I was out of town and the message was left on my home phone answering machine. The message was very vague, saying that it was in regards to a debt and that I need to call them back to resolve the issue. They did not ask for me or anyone else in my household by name and Mr. Jacobs did not give the name of the company he represents either. The only way I got the name of the company is by doing a search of the phone number on the computer. I have no debts so I am waiting to see what happens next. Within five days of the initial contact, a collection agency is required by law to send "written validation" to the party concerned. Come five days from this past Friday (initial contact) I expect to receive a "written validation" of whatever debt they say I owe. If I don't receive it, I may have to file a suit in Federal or State Court against the collection agency for this violation of the law. A judge can award me up to $1000 for this violation. I may even send the collection agency a letter and harass them a bit.
- tonyis name is now.... Ray " 832-476-1740 " I don't owe anyone
- LanaI get the same calls all the time and I don't owe anyone. I figure if it were that important they would call themselves rather than a recording. They used to leave a message, now I don't get anything. It's really annoying to say the least and I have reported them to the Do Not Call Registry numerous times!

- CaseyI received the message from 832-476-1739:
[My first and last name], you need to take care of an important matter at (in?) my office today! 832 476 1740 extension 330
Since they do not identify themselves in any way and I don't know anyone in that area code, I looked it up and found this page.
I do have outstanding medical bills (which are being handled by agencies outside of Texas) but I will not waste my time with a company that won't be honest with the debtors they handle.
I have spoken to real medical bill debt collectors before who were kind to me even though they knew I wouldn't be able to submit a payment to them right that second. I was uninsured in the state where I had an emergency and I don't have any regular income. Being treated with respect by the collectors on my past due ER bill reminds me that I really should make it a priority to pay the bill, with consideration for the hospital that treated me. If they had tactics like the people at this number I would have just thrown out the paperwork.- Caller: Not identified by caller

- jjpAbsolute jerks on the phone looking for a client of mine who is a ward of the state and in a nursing home. The more I explained his social security was essentially attached by the state the more the collector tried to put the bite on me. I told her to go back and get aquainted with the Fair Debt Collections Act AND NOT CALL ME!!!!
They refused to tell me how they got my number. Thugs.- Caller: Avante

- kimWe have received many calls from 832-476-1740, Tom Jenkins (I think). I called today, the company name is Avante. I pushed the button for the option to speak with next available person. The woman I spoke with was very nice and polite. I explained we have only had the number for 3 months and we get a lot of phone calls for the people they are looking for. I asked if it was possible to put a note with this number that the people they want don't have it anymore, she nicely said, "No problem. I'll take this number out of the system". Now we wait to see if they really do, or if she was lying.

- LadyScorpio replies to AngieI need some information about that because I keep getting the same call and it is very annoying, no call back # or nothing just about a serious matter, they dont know who answers or listening to the messages, if it is a private matter then they need to be more professional about the situation
- MickeyI got a call today ,(AND MANY OTHER DAYS!!!) from 832-476-1739 saying call back to 832-476-1740 with an extention number. They actually left a message this time. Went something like this: hello Mickey, this is Evon. I have a matter in my office that needs your immediate attention. Call me back at 832-476-1740 ext. ???. (end of message).
The person had a Southern Accent(lived there before and know it) and talked so fast, I had to play the message 3 times to get the number. I don't plan to call them back. Been thru this before. I resently applied for a job that pulls a credit report, and guess what???! The calls start!! AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Advise ,if the number isn't familiar to you let it go to voicemail.
Definate tip off, sequential numbers;ie. call from 832-476-1739 and tell you to call 832-476-1740.- Caller: 832-476-1739

- sick of these callsI reported one of these telephone numbers to the Washington State Attorney General, who sent a letter one of these so called "debt collectors".
They reported that their "client" placed the complaint about my so-called "debt" but that the complaint had been "withdrawn".
First, a big THANK YOU to the Washington State Attorney Generals Office, who took this matter seriously.
Second, I recommend EVERYONE who gets one of these calls reports it immediately to your State AG for action.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
If you fail to take action, these fly-by-night businesses continue to flourish. And yes, they will up and move, change their name and tactics, but eventually, they will be caught or the money needed to continue their business will dry up.
SO, TAKE MATTERS INTO YOUR HANDS AND WRITE YOUR STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL!- Caller: ALLIED
