They must use different numbers.   I got a call from this number today:  832-413-4721 .  This is the first time they had called.

Called again today.  Both times, no messages were left.

I actually received a letter to my home address from AvanteUSA and this number was on the letter to contact them to make a payment. They are asking for a payment for a hospital in my town that I have not received/had any bills with since 2015. And those bills were taken care of by Medicaid, I never received any other bill from them.

The funny thing is that, the hospital they are claiming it from actually changed names last year. I have no intention to pay a bill I know I damn well don't owe on. I need to make sure it's not on my credit report.

Also, as I notice with debt collector letters, they usually have a term where you "can contact this office in writing within 30 days of this letter to dispute the debt". There is NOTHING like that on this letter. Is that illegal? Should I report this?

I letter from Avante arrived at by house for my neighbor who has been out of state (job related) since last October.  It had his name and my address.  When my neighbor called to check up on his house (I am taking care of hos house.), I informed him of the letter.  He asked me to open it.  I read it to him.  I noticed it also does not give any information about privacy and collection practices for different states.

Caller insisted I identify myself but reluctantly slurred " my name is Junie" or "Julie" Aane" or Avante is the company I work for." Then insisted I identify myself. I ASKED:"What does your company do?"
She responded, in a nasty condescending tone: " I already told you my name and the name of my company, you need to verify who you are!"
I simply said " you have not told me what your company does or wants"
Junie " if you dont identify yourself I will have to end this call"
Me "fine, if you dont answer my question I wont answer yours.
