Received a call from this company on Jan 12.  Clearly a telemarketing farm because the caller that left a vmail was not exactly a great communicator and there were dozens of voices in the background on other calls.  This person also left an obscure message from blah-blah Group, (could not understand them) about "contractors" and they would like to get in touch with me about projects they are working.  It was Helena at an extension number.  When calling the 843 number, they are closed and your call is being recorded.   Nonsense.

my secretary told me this number called today, figured i would look it up before i called back, Wonder what kind of scam they are trying to run. Same name, Helena.

This number called today leaving a message on VM. Her name was Patsy and was calling from the Sunward Group (?) Looking for someone to do some contracting work. Glad I researched before calling!

Same thing, Helena from Sunward. Asked if we're a construction company and wanted my boss to call back about some projects they're developing. Glad I checked here before I gave him the message.

same here.  just left a voicemail saying, "this is Angel with the ______ group looking for a contractor to work with. please call back at 843-538-4600"

This number called today and julie left a message on VM sounds like another scam to me, "up coming projects" you end up paying a large fee to become "authorized Dealer" and don't get anything in return.

I got a call from Yolanda asking for the boss by name. When I told he was out she said she was with Utility King and has some new construction work. I have also had calls just like this from Sunward group. These numbers always google several different company names. I think it is sick for these telemarketers to prey on an industry so hard hit by the current economic times.

Yep, the voice mail i got was from Selena at Utility King. Looking for contactors in our area that can "handle" exta wook at this time. Really? Who can't handle extra work at this time? I did not call back.Caller ID said "Unknown Caller" but the voice mail service said the call back number was just the first 3 digits, 843. I thought that was weird so I "googled" the # left by the caller on the voice mail. Definitely a "Shady" operation of some knid.

I got the same call from this number. The name is Utility King, caller was named Teresa (ext-7905 ) with lots of other voices in the back ground.

I just received a call from Shadon with Sunward Group.  Said they were looking for contractors in the area.  Didn't sound right to me either.  She left the number 843-538-4600.  Some rainy day I will call her back and be sure and take up plenty of her time.

Only reason I didn't answer was because the only thing that came up on the caller id was 843.  Kinda strange

Call from Carmen at Utility King from 843-538-4600 Ext. 7901.  She didn't want to leave a really detailed message until I told her my boss would not call back if I didn't have all the details.  

She said that they manufacture buildings.  When I asked if she wanted us to bid on some jobs she said not right now.  But she wouldn't leave any furher information.  So I found this site when I googled the number.

I called the number when I got a few minutes...
When the call goes through you are told the call will be recorded.  Then you are transferred to an operator that says, "Thank you for calling Rockford."
Then I googled again...

Hope this helps all who get this strange call from a company that doesn't do their telemarketing very well.

We also continue to receive calls from "The Sunward Group". After reversing the phone number, 843-538-4600, we found it is also listed to Rockford Manufacturing in South Carolina. Our company has asked several times to be removed from their calling list, but without success. Callers are evasive and when specifics are asked regarding the purpose of their call, and seem to be offended that one might dare ask.  Whatever they might be offering, no thanks!

Yep-got the call today, from "new call"...I don't answer those calls. Teresa with Utility King 843-538-4600 ext 7920. Wanted to know if "we could handle some work in the area" or "if I knew of another contractor that could". Glad I googled. Steel frame building manuf looking for dealers. Sorry, we already have several local sole proprietor guys that do a better job!!

We got a message on our Business line. "Ashley" looking for contractors if we could 'take on more work', like these days we are just SO crazy busy. NOT!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the 'offer' Ash, but I think you might be full of @#%$

Got a call this morn from a Shadawn at Sunward Group wanting us to participate in commercial and residential projects in the area. We live in a rural area so I asked for exact locations of the jobs-she couldn't say anything except "your surrounding area". Glad I researched!

Got a voicemail on my business line asking me to call about possible construction projects in my area.  Caller id'd self as "Felita" with "Utility King."  Left this number with an extension of 7931.  Called back and the number was no longer in service.

I called back and let Patsy have a piece of my mind. She asked who I was, I told her I was everyone. Then directed her to google her name and number.

I called this number back to see what was going on..... I also got the Rockford Manufacturing and the phone call would be recorded. So I was a little leary..... I carried on with the call, but I asked a lot of questions. It seems that Sunward Group is the parent company and they are head quartered out of Colorado. Rockford and the Utility King  are companies that fall under the same umbrella which are located in South Carolina. They explained it as being like Ford, Mercury and Lincoln... all the same owners just different brand names. They gave me several ways to research the company like BBB, COC and Dunn and BRad Street. I am suppose to be receiving information on the building line. So far it seems pretty legit. They have 3 resolved complaints on BBB under the Rockford name. I am glad I came to this site before I called, so I just thought I would put in my opinion.
