Called me and said to call back or have attorney call, although never mentioned what it was regarding or any company affiliation so guessing it's a scammer.

Thanks for posting this. I got a call today also from a Mark Edwards at this number, to call him back. I'm not going to now!

i received several calls from them, same thing wanting me or my attorney to call. Timothy Peter said he was with Northwood Asset Group

Ok, So its Northwood Management. They say they are mediation, and that collections is a department of theirs. I owed one of those payday loans so i paid. I got a reciept they call docusign and had to sign it. Said i should be recieving a paid in full letter tomorrow.

Is that so?  Did said company validate your debt properly according to the FDCPA?

What's the company's full name and street address?

If you Google Northwood AMG, there is no such business registered anywhere that I can find and I do skip traces to find people. Tell them to piss up a rope.

I keep getting calls from Rick White from Northwood AMG. He wants my son who lives in another state. I'm sure it's a collection agency. I just block the calls now. If they don't have the correct number, too bad for them.

These people have called several times and even called me at work today!!! I am putting them on the block list!

I just received a call from Mark Edwards at this number--never identified the company he was calling from.  Left a file number of 292276 and requested either I or my attorney call back.  After going through this crap for a number of years and recently having my identity stolen, I've gotten slightly more wise.  The Attorney General's office in my state and my brother who is a lawyer have stated if they don't identify the company they are with, it's a good bet they are scammers--even if they sound legit!

Just a follow up on my post above.  Mark Edwards just called me at work and when I requested information sent to me via mail regarding this supposed debt, he informed me that since I was "willing to incrue the debt via the internet, therefore nothing would be sent via the mail--everything is via email.  Obviously I will put you down as uncooperative" and hung up on me!  NEVER trust someone who is unwilling to have documentation sent via US Mail!!

Call from Kim Johnson.  Needed information from my attorney?  Don't have one!  She said she was a mediator.  Open 9am to 7pm.  Wanted to talk to my relative???  Said she worked for NAM Group, but wouldn't give location or type of business it was.

I have been receiving phone calls from David Blackley...they got one payment and then I became suspicious...so I cancelled the payment to go through....is this scam?  Same thing they send me email for signature authorization and are now saying whats tied to social security number make a recommendation that I am unresponsive......if not legitimate then can I get back what I paid?  Suggestions?????

she called me today as well. when i wouldnt give her information she said she didnt have time for my games and call he back when i was ready to stop playing. I asked her for the company's website and she said it was "down" right now. She said she worked for NAM group, but I can't find any information about this group.

Debt collector caller steve matthews calling my place of employment harassing me constantly.

I have received calls, from them received a bogus Dunning letter. They refuse to mail information to validate the debt. They have 5 business days to do so per the FTC act. I have reported Northwood AMG  to the CFB, to the FTC, to Texas Attorney Generals Office. Now they are ssaying they are sending someone to my place of work or home. tomorrow Sept 11 between 12-5. This company is a joke.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them .

***A company must be licensed in their state as well as the one they are trying to collect in if two different states are involved.

Some Tips:
*Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time,date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.
