Called threatening me, that if I didn't tell him where my son was they were going to call the authorities on him. Told him go ahead as he is a prison guard and that the bureau of prisons run constant background checks on him. Guy on phone said no they don't do that. But I know they do SCAM all the way

Pr-recorded message the name part, with some ding dong saying a formal complaint against the person in question and if the whereabouts are known.  When my Mom was alive I would always call companies like these them back and saying  we have the police ready along with our trusty neighbors and we will be waiting.  What a bunch of cowards !   They just about hide in the corner when you talk to them like that.  I wish the government would stop scammers like this instead of having companies which are pulling fraudulent activities keep phone number spoofing.  It gets quite old after about 16 years of the same nonsense.

This turd called me five times in a row with a pre-recorded message saying authorities will be called due to a formal complaint filed against me. He apparently then called my ex father in law with the same message. Possibly browsing facebook is all i can think of.....

I too received a threating phone call from Mr. Mike Wallace from the same phone number. I don't get how they are allowed to conduct business in such a manner. I, as well, filed a complaint with the FTC and called them directly to report this number along with other they are using. The representative told me they get so many calls on a daily basis with these types of complaints & these companies are people who buy old files from places like payday loans stores that have closed or filed bankruptcy due to people not paying. However the person who borrowed the money from these places may have "made up" names or phone numbers to get their loans or used a family member without there knowledge. Be careful....IF they actually have info on you or use the Credit Bureau's for your info they'd know where & who you are.

When I asked for the name of the company, physical address and fax number so I could pursue a class action suit, they hung up. They have an erroneous debt (all of my debt was included in a bk 6 years ago) that doesn't exist from 10 years ago.

Same as above. Called my home 3 times on Tuesday, nothing yesterday, and now today at 5:45 pm.
