Scam! They're trying to scare you into paying a debt you likely don't even owe. If you really had a warrant out for your arrest you certainly wouldn't be warned in advance because then you could simply hide from the police.

I have tried blocking the number then they just call under a different number next time....I have had numerous numbers that have called. For me, this has been going on for several years and they have called just about everyone I know.

Guy keeps calling looking for my father who passed away years ago. Told him but he keeps calling me and now family members.

The infamous  “Coastal” or CFS scam.  No idea where they are located.  Call from a variety of numbers for several years now. Ignore and block any calls received from this “Coastal” group. Sometimes uses the CID of “Coastal Litigation” or Coastal Pre-litigations.

Mark Wallace is a current debt scamming persona for this “CFS”.

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

Note that the US Supreme Court in the Case of HENSON ET AL. v. SANTANDER CONSUMER USA INC., has recently ruled that the provisions of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act do not apply if the creditor owns the debt in question.  As a practical matter this probably won't effect the kinds of scam debt collectors who often show up on 800notes.  The scam collectors don't give you any information about themselves so it is impossible to know whether or not they in fact "own" the debt in question.  Most do not send debt validation letters and many often say they are collecting for someone else.  So, make the complaint anyway if they are bothering you.  Let the FTC sort it out.

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking).   the only thing they understand.

I got the same exact message and they keep calling my ex's house and saying police are coming.  something needs to be done to this guy.  he needs to go to jail for playing around like this

I got a call similar to the others that filed complaints.  They are breaking the law, specially the Fair Debt Credit Act.
This needs to be reported the the Federal Trade Commission.

Call me every day, I am disabled and this is so ignoring with the message prerecording says my name if don't call back authorities will come for me. My mom did not raise a fool. This is so much a scam never ever had a pay day loan

I've received a similar call a few times from this number looking for someone I've never heard of. I've had the same phone # for about 15 years so this clown is obviously on the wrong track. I just blocked the number.

Mark Wallace keeps calling about a formal complaint filed against me?? SCAM !!! I have notified authorities and the FBI , This is a MAJOR theft identity scam!! They call at least 2 times a day , and I have blocked the number but the same Mark Wallace calls from an 844-369-???? different number. Someone needs to stop them !!!!

Apparently there was a formal complaint filed against my dog?? The "Mark Wallace" used my dog's name and my maiden name. Tired to call the number back and no answer...

Just had message which was partially prerecorded looking for some jerk I do not know. It was the same guy mentioned above, Mark Wallace. He said to contact him at 844-369-3850 with any information about this person and proper authorities will be notified.  So SICK of these calls looking for a Richard Ruger!  I DON'T KNOW THIS PERSON!!!!!

The same thing happens to us but from different phone numbers with various names of people to call back. There is a rash of  what I call fill in the blank scam calls. First, they say their name, then say this call is intended for, then pause and fill in a name. Then like the rest of the calls they want to know where the person is and if you don't call the authorities will be contacted. They need to be arrested.
