I received the same message as everyone else only I called them back. They stated they were calling about a payday loan I had deposited into my bank in May of 2011. I asked for specific dates and amounts and they gave that information to me along with being able to give me some very personal information which is down right scary. Girl was super rude however I hung up and called my bank. I knew the call was fake but I just wanted to reassure myself. We search an entire year of banking information and the deposit never happened. I then called back and told them that no deposit for a year came into my back and they said well I'm not sure what you want us to do about that. I said hello you're trying to collect on something that doesn't exist and I was told there is nothing they can do about it. Then all of a sudden amounts of the deposit changed and when it came in changed and I stated ok what was the original loan for and who from. Then he went back to the 300.00 in May so this is a scam for sure, please don't pay anything until you check records or something. Be aware they also will call your family and anyone else they can find so I stated on a recorded line that I am telling them to cease calling anyone about my account. I was told the original company would still pursue and if I had proof I should email it to them. I stated no way I will email my bank records for a year so sorry not sorry wont happen.   Guess I will see what happens next

Because I didn't realize it wasn't a live call at first, I didn't catch the guy's name when I said "Hello, who's calling please?"  The voiceover with the "wanted" individual's name was so low volume (both times) that I didn't hear it. The rest of the call sounded exactly the same as others on this thread.

Same as all the other complaints I see. States they are looking for my son. He Does not live near me and has not for 7 years. What is this and why is it allowed to continue.

First, did you take the time to report these calls to the proper Federal and State Agencies (links follow)?  If no one reports them, law enforcement doesn't know about them.  Second, realize that cases take time to build, unlike on CSI where everything is solved in 42 minutes (the rest of the hour is commercials).

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

Just called me blocked the number if it's a debt u cannot go to jail for it the only thing they can do is wage garnish also advise that u will send this number to the state attorney general's office and cease and desist

The infamous  “Coastal” or CFS scam.  No idea where they are located.  Call from a variety of numbers for several years now. Ignore and block any calls received from this “Coastal” group. Sometimes uses the CID of “Coastal Litigation” or Coastal Pre-litigations.

Mark Wallace is a current debt scamming persona for this “CFS”.

Report them:

Claims to be from a mediation firm representing a company that has filed a formal complaint against me. Hung up on me when I refused to give them any information. They called several phone numbers associated with my name.

Yep I got the same exact message. What they do is have your name recorded and then speak after your name recording. So stupid these scammers. And so annoying.

Received a call from Mark Wallace telling me there's a complaint against me and to contact him before they contact the authorities...right....

I'm sure they will follow with asking for my ss number and bank account for verification. These calls are relentlessly annoying. I have HIYA app which is free, but sometimes it doesn't catch all the numbers, after that I block them completely from calling but that doesn't stop them from generating numbers and calling you once you blocked them.

Same thing, they say I'm going to be reported to the authorities.  I'm about to call them back to see what their scam is all about!

This is ridiculous!  Mark Wallace called my cell, then got my private non published home number.  Who are these people.  No reason given for call.  Threats only!  Garbage!!!!

Called saying they have filed a civil complaint. The next step is if I do not respond they will call the authorities. These people need put in jail and they messed with the wrong person this time. I have put several of these no good scam artists away and now this company, people ....anyone that calls from this number will enjoy being locked up. Enjoy your prison sentence

I have received the same message from these people or this number, I want to know who the hell  these people are and how we can stop them from doing what they're doing and what is the purpose of why they're doing what they're doing cuz somebody calling me asking me about my daughter and threatening my daughter I got great concern for that that! So if anybody knows how we can find out who's behind this number let me know.

I'm in the process of reporting this number!  I'm pissed! Not cool threatning people. ..I will make it my business to find out who they are,  and shut them down!

I have received two phone messages from 844-369-3859 for one George Smith.  I don't know any George Smith and when I called the number I was told "The person at this extension is unavailable.  Please leave a message at the tone."

Same EXACT voicemail as everyone else on this thread.  Word for word.  Also, the male's voice sounds as if it is being distorted.  And when the name of the person they are looking for is said, it is a robotic voice.  SCAM.

Yep... called me about my ex husband's current wife.  Haven't spoken to either of them in 15 years.

Says a formal complaint has been filed against me and the next step will be contacting the proper authorities

Left same message on my voicemail twice only thing he left some name that I never heard of that they was looking for. I believe it's a scam.
