In most cases, they're not even buying debt.  What they're buying is personal information.  They couldn't care less whether you owe a legitimate debt or not.  That's why you should NEVER even entertain the idea of a payday loan.  Even if you submit one of their bogus applications and then decide against it, they've got your contact info, and they'll sell it and resell it to whoever slips 'em a few bucks.

Personal information is like gold these days, and there's a huge black market for it.  I've read articles that say it rivals the illegal drug trade because the profit potential is so lucrative.  One such article I read said it's so bad that street gangs in Jamaica are killing each other over phone lists.  Welcome to the new wave of organized crime.

The fact that you put "served again" is the real laugher..  You think anyone would believe there's a conga line outside your door after the past posts on this string you're obviously behind as well?

After I posted I thought, "Why not even the big red stamp?"

Someone should make the stamp even fancier.  With bugs crawling on it, or feces dripping off.  Something to indicate the worthless scum the person is.  Although, now I'm insulting bugs....and feces...

    >>> Just got served again today no joke <<<

Ironically, there are good reasons to believe you've been served more than once!  Perhaps not for the reasons you THINK we should believe you, but good reasons, nonetheless.

Huh? Who is "we". What is a "latter"? Who or what is a "witch"?

Really? Really? Did you graduate high school? College?

It is easy to ascertain that English is not your first language. You have multiple grammatical and punctuation errors. Your post is one giant run-on sentence. A "professional" would not make such errors. I would LOVE to see a letter of debt validation that you have written. I am sure that that would not happen, as you are probably a punk sitting in a boiler room somewhere, cranking out incorrect info on 800notes and other sites, as well as calling innocent people and demanding payment of debts that have not been validated.

Go away little boy. You cannot win against the big guns here. You will lose.........every time!

Served again?  Was that you I saw at the Tacos Rico in Pasadena the other day?  Gosh, second time in a row.   I usually get the chicken tacquitos and a side order of rice.   Tacos Rico is more or less self-serve.

    You'd know something about self-serving, wouldn't you?

The part I don't fully understand is why these companies spend so much time and effort on bottom feeding.  They already know the persons they are harassing are probably down on their luck and can't afford to deal with their debt load.  So, even given that boiler room operations must be inexpensive to run, nevertheless I can't see how these businesses can be very profitable.  How much water can be squeezed from a stone?  So why don't these companies find some way to make rich people so afraid that they'll send money.  Is it partly because the scammers are equally afraid that they might encounter legal opposition when dealing with people who can afford proper advice?

When I get a call from these scammers and accidentally pick up - including from this one and the various other "computer repair", "free trip", etc. scams, if there is actually someone on the line,  I just say... "Here, let me just put you through to Roger in Accounting.  He can take your details and have someone get back to you."  Then I just hit a few numerals on the dial (making some tones in their ear) and then hang up.  Does this work?  I can't be sure but I never get repeat calls from the same persistent scammers anymore, as was the case a couple of times in the past.  Seems worth the try.  I guess you could also go with "Guido in our Legal Department" or "patch you through to Head Office" etc.

    Addendum:

My son adds that he's also had success snarling into the phone... "How did you get this number!" and then, after waiting for an answer which may, or may not be provided, adding "the police (insert RCMP or FBI or local police dept) assured me this is a secured number and all calls are immediately traced! "  Then hang up.  Does this work?  Who knows.  But fighting fire with fire is always an option.

Growing up, my family members always handed the phone to me when a telemarketer or potential scammer would call.  I would read to them from my most recent school essay or test, and attempt to engage them in theological discussions.  95% of the time they would hang up on me within 3 minutes, and I only remember one time when we received a second call from the same company.

AT&T called one time asking us if we were interested in switching carriers.  I told them that we had racked up too much debt at Blockbuster and were forced to sell everything to pay it.  I added "I mean, we don't even have a phone right now!"  The person told me that we'd be taken off the list, and hung up before realizing we were speaking on the phone.
