Just received a call with a message of legal matters looking for last where labours & this is the last call before they fear legal matters at the county court.  Had this same call 2 years ago about a 2012 loan. Never had a loan. Will not provide me with any info regarding said loan. Such carp.

Don't be scared. I assure you it's all a scare tactic. You cannot be arrested and a debt collector cannot legally state that to you. It's a violation of your rights according to the Fair Debt Act. Regardless of what they say, nobody is going to show up at your house. I almost fell victim to something like this 6 years ago. Scared the hell out of me too. The gentleman was a fast talker. Thankfully I had a friend who was an attorney. She looked up all the information and called the number back. Turned out the company name being used was flagged as a scam.

I just got a call from this number from some guy who is requesting my whereabouts and threatening to filing the necessary paperwork with the local county court.

Called my son phone don't know how they got his number because I don't use his name and number for anything regarding my business isn't this illegal? And this # I do not know how theygot my name in the first place

Keeps calling with the same message.  Looking for so-and-so's whereabouts.  This is the 3rd different number with the same message I have received.  I haven't answered any of the calls and they leave a voicemail.

This number keeps calling my siblings wanting to know my whereabouts. I have called them and asked them to stop.  My siblings have asked to be removed from their call list but same company calls a week later with a different number.  The claim is I owe money on a cash advance.  I have never taken out a cash advance. So frustrated.

844-757-5685 called our business and it was a recording, so I hung up. Nothing on CID other than the number.

They called asking for someone I never heard of, when i tried to tell them that I got hung up on. Don't know who they are, or who they are looking for , but they claim to be filing charges!

Looking for the where abouts of someone.

Called and asked for the whereabouts for my aunt. They left a voicemail but never said what company they are. Called back and can't get an answer from them. I have blocked the number.

This number called my parents looking ofor me said there was a complaint. If they kbow my where abouts. Is this a scam or what.

Just got a message from this number. Wanting to know the whereabouts of me but didn't say my name. They had a computer read my name. Funny thing is they had my maiden name. Glad I looked this number up! Guy sounded very threatening!

I received a call from this number telling me that they were a company called CFS and they were calling me in regards to a check for a loan company back in 2010 for a Wells Fargo. I haven't had a Wells Fargo checking account since 2009 I also never used checks  stated that they will proceed with taking me to court and have me arrested ended up contact our family attorney who stated that this was a scam. They seem to call me every 3 months I give them the attorney's name and number but they never call him and they leave me alone for 3 months.

They called everyone in my phone plan threating to show up at my house, saying that they were in uniform here to file a formal complaint.  Scared some of my family members actually making one of them insist that he saw the person in the SUV that had CFS printed on it.  It wasn't.  I wish they would show up at my home. Jerks.

I have received this call several times before, looking for some gal, which I do not know - I have an answering machine so I do not answer the call. Something about filing charges against this person.

This is totally against the  the law what they are doing.    Trying to locate someone and leaving messages about going to court.  If anyone gets a call from them they should be turned in to the attorney generals office immediately which is what i intend to do today- they are debt collectors and there are strict laws regulating debt collection agencies and debt collectors

Total scam.  Being in ordinary civil debt is NOT a crime and you cannot be prosecuted for it.  This is a debt collection scam and they are trying to scare money out of you.  Ignore and block the calls.

The infamous  “Coastal” or CFS scam.  No idea where they are located.  Call from a variety of numbers for several years now. Ignore and block any calls received from this “Coastal” group. Sometimes uses the CID of “Coastal Litigation” or Coastal Pre-litigations. Also using something called "Lakeside Mediations"  and "Legal Review Services as their CID.  Also “First Point”.  There are several groups with the letters CFS in them.
May now IDing themselves as “Western”.   Also may be using a CID of WNL.

These people have called many people asking for me stating that they are trying to collect a debt and that if I didn't call them back they were going to file charges.  They even called my ex husband who i have not been married to for 7 years!  I called them back and fell for the scam, before I looked them up.  After I got off the phone I looked them up and found out they were a scam and immediately cancelled my debit card.  They called me back 30 min later and when i informed them that if they didn't stop calling me and others using my name I was going to have my attorney file legal action.  the woman on the other end became belligerent and hung up on me.

These "collection" people purchase old debt and then threaten you and people that you know that they h ave a "complaint" against you and they are going to either file in county court or they have a process server ready to come to your house if you don't settle with them over the phone.  They can sound very menacing and intimidating.  They also will get very angry and rude if you tell them to go f-off.
In my case they are attempting to collect on a 10 year old loan that was discharged.  Best advice:  don't answer and don't return their call.  They are attempting to frighten people and then scam them.
