This is UPS and the calls are legitimate. Perhaps they were calling a "wrong number" for any of you who do not ship or receive via UPS, but they needed our broker name and contact info for a shipment from USA to Canada. (not everything is a scam folks!)

This is legitimately UPS brokerage. They deal with clearance of packages from USA to Canada. The number provided is a "reference" number and not "tracking number" Which you may be use to seeing. When you call them back and provide the reference number they can get your package cleared.

If you already know to whom this number belongs, why would you look it up? So you often look up known phone numbers?
Besides, scammers frequently spoof legitimate phone numbers so what may have been UPS for you isn't necessarily UPS for others.

For all those reporting it is an 'invalid' number, what they leave is a reference number, which when you get the 'not a valid tracking number' message, you can click a link to the right in blue to use the reference number, fill in the reference number along with destination (Canada) and your postal code .. leave the date range alone, and it will find your shipment.

I called UPS directly at 1-800-742-5877 and provided my phone number. There was actually a package for me. They couldn't locate the package using the tracking number given by the automated call from 1-855-210-3500.

Got a call from this number. Said they were from UPS and I have a package that needs to be cleared. They mentioned my name. Gave me a tracking number which is actually a REFERENCE number that you can search up on the UPS website. What’s strange is that the package was already delivered 10 mins before I received the phone call. There must be some mistake on their end but it is a legit number.

Got called twice. First time I thought it was spam. Second time, I decided to listen to the message. It had actual options to interact with the message (I.e. press 1 for French; 2 for English etc...), which I did use multiple times and I was able to interact with it. I was still sceptical but took down the provided tracking number.  It was about an import fee.   I used the UPS website (I’m still sceptical at this moment) and it showed me a package that shipped from a city I recently ordered something from, and the date corresponded with my order date.  I’m still sceptical so I called UPS by searching the UPS website’s contact us page. I spoke with someone on the phone with the provided tracking number, and they gave me the details on the package, which confirmed the company that I ordered from.

I paid the customs fee online through the UPS website.  I think this is legit from UPS, but if not, i’ll Come back here and post updates.

The number they quote is a reference number, not a tracking number. If you click on Search by Reference you should come up with it.

I put the tracking number left by this number into your official site and the tracking number did not exist.

did anyone every have to fill paperwork out from these inquiries?

Scam that spoofs UPS number

This number been calling me an I do have a package in transit. I  tried calling this number but the office is closed even J just got the call....my package is coming from overseas to Canada but it showing it's in Some state in the USA..
