- TSTEXGIRL replies to La Toya LoveYes it is a scam. No one tells you in advance that you are to be served and paying them money would not call off a being sued if this was already to go to court. Do not pay them nothing or give out personal info.
- clGuy named howard gates called from this number. left no name of who the message is for. Said I have 2 documents here to deliver to your home or place of employment. Said to have 2 forms of ID available or have my supervisor for verification. Said, Good luck at end and hung up. Caller ID shows unknown name, and number shows up as 1-000-000-0000. Called back and asked for Howard Gates, no one exists by that name.

- Hess replies to LourdesI am traveling out of state and also received a message from Howard Gates saying he would be delivering papers to my home and place of employment today. He was rude and said good luck. He would not give me any information what this was in regards to.
- LTWe got a call yesterday (left a message on our machine) and it went something like this:
(He gave the name of a person who does not/never has lived at this address and never had our phone number) My name is Anthony Gill. This call is in regards to some documents I received today with your name and social security number attached to it. This is a courtesy call to let you know I have a request to put you on my schedule to come out and have you sign for these documents...(unintelligible). I will be out to see you no later than tomorrow afternoon. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these documents you will be signing, you can call the (unintelligible) office at 855-234-1304 and they should be able to help you out with any questions you may have. Thank you and have a good day.
We called the 855# and got an answering machine, and now it is the following afternoon, and still no one has shown up at our door. Just another scare tactic from another scammer. - TOO BAD FOR YOU8552341304...Stop calling me....Go away

The message was left on Monday. I didn't listen to it until Saturday. No company name or any other info on the message just the phone number and guess what no one showed up either.

- JeanneYep same scenario guy called and says I owe a debt I never heard of...What the heck? I told him he was scamming me and he said no I am trying to serve you legal papers..really without an address and just verifying my email???

- KatyI was left a message by Howard Gates. A very intimidating message stating that someone will be going to my home or work for me to sign legal documents about a debt I had incurred. Obviously not wanting to have anyone come to my home or work, I called back. And was told I owe a debt to sprint from 2008.... and that it will be going to court and will probably cost me upwards of $4,000 after legal fees... Something I will never be able to pay... He told me I could settle the debt with a payment plan, put me on hold and supposedly spoke with the attorney's. They wanted me to pay less than half of what the debt was in the first place... Unfortunately, I agreed and set up the payment plan... now I am very nervous and have called my bank to let them know about the possible fraud. Thinking back.. I only started using sprint in 2011, and have never incurred a debt with them... my mistake for being so easily intimidated...

- whatisup?I just received a similar ominous message from Howard Gates. I was racking my brain trying to figure out what this could be about and knew I would not get a very good night's sleep. Then, I remembered to check out the phone # on the message on the internet - and found this site. Thank you for all your helpful comments, everyone! I am now going to sleep soundly after I have a bit of a chuckle.

- chazBoy these guys are good, they called my relatives house stating i was involved in a fraud case and that they needed to speak to me asap. my relative called me all nervous! They WERE professional stating their name and extension but I knew something was up because I havent lived at my relatives house for over 25 years and the receptionist said I will transfer you right away and never answered my question of what company they were RED FLAG#1 then a lady came on and said yes this is a fraud case is the last 4 digits of your social security number XXXX and I said no, she then got kind of disinterested but changed her tune to oh dont worry if its not your social its not your responsibility, red flag#2, I then told her my social was stolen last year and then she said well do u have an attorney? and I said yes then she asked for my attorneys phone number to discuss the case,,,lol this lady was really good, no accent, perfect english, definately was American, then I said im not comfortable enough giving you my lawyers name let me research your firm then I will call you back, then she said she was the president of the company and would be trying to get my case load off her desk and close the file. then she gave me her number again which is 855-234-1304 and said her name was Margaret and her ext was 305 and that i should call her back with my laywers info. But heres the kicker then she said I should invest in Lifelock to protect my identity!! lol at least I can go to bed knowing this was a scam!! I was racking my BRAIN ABOUT THIS FOR 2 HOURS!! PEOPLE BE SAFE DONT TALK TO PEOPLE ON THE PHONE TELL THEM TO CONTACT YOU VIA THE US POSTAL SERVICE AND TELL THEM THEY SHOULD ALREADY HAVE YOUR ADDRESS DONT GIVE THEM YOURS!! POST IF YOU RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS # MAYBE IF ENOUGH OF US DO WE CAN STOP THEIR LITTLE OPERATION!!

- SLPA gentleman called from a 10000000000 number (which always means they are using online services such as the internet and a couple other cyber things they can use to cover where the call is coming from exactly). He stated his name was Howard Gates. That since I had not cease and desist what ever debt or property he is stating I owe that he was going to at my job by 4:00pm today. If I did not want this to happen that I would need to call the debtor at 1-855-234-1304. When you call the number they will never say the name of the company. So I asked for a random name Shaniqua was available. She actually said yes one moment please while I see if she is available. I tried for exactly three minutes to get company information out of her and she went around the questions. The company is definitely located in America but it is still some third party debt collector collecting on a debt that was paid a long time ago but trying to get you to pay it again. Do not talk to them. Ask for everything in writing. Only give them your house address or PO Box.

- Amy Edwards replies to california| 1 replyDid you ever stop to think that maybe they are calling the wrng nmbr? Have you contacted them to confirm that? Mr. Howard is a process server calling to schedule you to to be served. He may have the wrng nmbr for the person he is trying to serve. Try calling the nmbr he provides just to make sure.
- Amy Edwards replies to AnonymIts obvious you have bills you are running from instead of complaining on the internet about it you should just pay your bills and you wouldnt get calls anymore!
- Amy Edwards replies to 123456| 1 replymaybe you have a debt you owe. the responsible thing to do in this situation is call back to adress the situation instead of compalining on the internet about it...duh!
