I've been called multiple times by this exact number, and the fact that they are requesting to speak to my 10 year old daughter worries me. Who are they and what do they want? i blocked them.

Probably looking for someone with the same name as your daughter who allegedly owes a debt.  They probably will not believe you that she is a minor so best just to block their number and any others they might call from.

Considering their barely legal (if at all) harassment tactics I am surprised they are still in business. Twice I've spoken on the phone with them.  Written numerous request for detailed billing info.

Not only that I live in a state where they squeak by the 'can only call once a month' by reaching out and -not- leaving a message, thereby falling through the loophole since 'no contact was made'. Hence why you are receiving numerous calls without indicating who, what or why messages.

They employ off shore call centers (probably to save their CEO's golden parachute some money)
I have yet either to receive a letter or response to my written requests as per Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).  Perhaps they can afford the fines since they employ companies that pay their employees pennies.

I work for a collection agency and albeit we're not the most popular job types on the planet but at least my company operates legally. (and yes I realize irony here)

And I believe they may be accredited with the BBB (which means they -pay- for a subscription with the BBB). Currently the site is down or I could confirm whether they are accredited or not.

Since you have their address, why don't you send them a certified "not me" letter?

Called me out of no where the past month, each time i answered they hung up. They never leave a message. They called today again and finally someone spoke and i asked what they wanted and who was calling me, Said they had “personal business matters to discuss” with “me” gave me a jumbled up name similar to mine. I hung up and blocked them.

This number has called my cellphone 6 times: April 24, 25, 27, May 1 (twice) and today May 5.

I do NOT answer unknown calls.
My voice mail answered and captures the caller saying hello three to five times before hanging up.. no useful information to whom they are or who they are calling for was left.

Put them on the do not call list

You're supposed to put your number on the DNC list, not theirs. Besides, it only applies to telemarketers. Debt collectors are not telemarketers.

Calls and calls and calls! Left a voicemail but absolutely said nothing, I think they were waiting to have someone pick up as if it was a landline and I’ve had these types of calls before that just tries to scam you. I keep blocking one number and a new one pops up calling me within weeks.

After several months, they're back at it again. This time, the idiot on the phone claimed that I have an unpaid credit card debt with Capital One. I do have a card with Capital One, and I've had it for at least 20 years. If there were a problem, they would have let me know a long time ago. I read somewhere--and I wish I could remember the link for the article--that Transworld is a company that tries to collect on noncollectable debts that they have purchased for pennies. They can't verify the debts, and they can't sue or take any other legal action, so they try to scam and scare people into paying them. I'm not sure how it works in other states, but in Texas, debts over four years old are noncollectable. Anyone telling you anything else is scamming you, and any money you pay them is pure profit for the crooks.

I will have to update my report on that company.  I suppose all debts that DC's try to collect are "noncollectable debts".  However, and yes even in Texas, the Statute of Limitations does not prohibit them from attempting to collect.  They simply cannot legally sue or threaten to sue.
