- That guy from TampaThis company - United Recovery Group - is rated "F" in Macon's Better Business Bureau, as well as the BBB in Utah, where the corporate offices are. I started getting calls from them and called to ask them to stop. After 3 tries I gave up. One of their reps actually dropped the "F" bomb while he was screaming at me. They hung up on me all 3 times. Perhaps I need to call them a few more times. Usually I call "people" like this when I am on my commute and I want some entertainment. Open the window a little, ask them to repeat themselves all the time, generally waste all their time. Ask them why they would want to work for a company that is rated F by the BBB. Tell them that even the business community thinks they are failures. When they answer - regardless of what they say, say "Im sorry - can you repeat that?" Then hang up in mid sentence and then call back right away ask them again. Never give them your name or number. Fun times, fun times....

- Surfer SpicoliTell them you are recording them. They will immediately hang up because they know what they are doing is illegal. They are criminals. All ex-cons & future cons.
- Senor GomezWhen they call, say "No habla Ingles". When they transfer you to a Spanish speaker, say "I don't speak Spanish". This is great fun.
- Senor GomezI enjoy it when they scream & their neck veins bulge. Soooooooooooo funny!
- That guy from TampaUpdate: Filed official complaint to the BBB in Georgia, will let everyone know how that goes.

- DianeM replies to Sam| 1 replyThat's pretty good! A couple of other entertaining ways to get these folks frustrated (which I've used before) is to act all concerned, etc., and ask what will happen if I don't pay? The usual response is "we will send the sheriff out to your house and you will go go jail" (I've even had one person tell me that "you will go to jail and never see your family again"!). I then ask "Where?" This is usually followed by a brief silence and then "what do you mean?" I then say "Can I pick where I'll be incarcerated - I'm really in need of a vacation and I would love to go to somewhere like Key West or San Diego." This is usually where they start screaming and then hang up. The other way is to agree to pay and when they ask for your bank account number, start with "0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc." It may take a minute, but they finally catch on and hang up.
- Dave replies to melodyThe FTC is just as bad as the caller they give you information and then tell you there is nothing that they can do
- frustratedGot this call and about 50 other times also. This time they asked for a friend of mines brother. It's a scam. Type in the company name and the baby pulls up a ton of complaints

- anonymousreceived a call two days in a row. used threats regarding collecting a debt from my son that never occurred. It's a scam. Be careful. Her name was Allison Brooks from URG in Macon Georgia...threaten lawsuits, three charges would be filed, have investigators out looking for him, called on my cell, asked how they got the # and she said my son put it down as a contact on a loan THAT NEVER OCCURRED.

- Josh| 1 replyI have gotten repeated calls from this company, URG Offices, about collecting debt for someone else. I tried to call them back but had been hung up on every time. I finally spoke with someone today that didn't hang up and he said I was listed as a reference on debt for someone else and he offered to take my phone number off the list. We'll see if that really happens. In the meantime, I have reported them to the U.S. Consumer Protection Bureau. Based on all other comments, everyone should be reporting these people. www.consumerfinance.gov

- NoahThey are breaking the collection law when they threaten "criminal" action for defaulted payday loans. The payday lender said they don't even have the title to the loans. They are the criminals. Hang up & report them. If they are dumb enough to leave a message threatening you, keep it. Send it to the law. The main thing--DO NOT PAY THEM!!! PAYING THEM KEEPS THEM OPERATING!!!
