Some dude called my home and was reading off some script.  He identified himself as being from AT&T asking if my service was working fine.  WTH?  I was immediately suspicious because for as long as I've had AT&T they have NEVER called me for anything.  The only thing AT&T cares about is getting your money.  And if your service does stop working, you have to call AT&T and would NEVER get a random call from them.  Don't believe the hype people.  That number is fake.

AT&T courtesy call asking for account holder by name.  Asked if Internet was good (we don't have Internet thru AT&T).  Wanted our 4 digit passcode to proceed.  Never give out any personal information from someone who calls you; you have no idea who they truely are.

Interesting that just yesterday I had been on my uVerse internet connection.  Researching DSL providers.  And today, voila!  AT&T calls me OUT OF THE BLUE to perform customer "service".

I just hate it when companies like AT&T or Google FLAUNT that they have all your data (and legally, since you do business with them!) and aren't afraid to USE it.  What happens when THEY get hacked or one of their employees walks off with a laptop crammed full of user data?  This has happened to Target, Home Depot, TJ Maxx .... and your FEDERAL government!  Should be scary!

Not sure if this call was legit or not... I received call at ~ 9pm.  Odd time for a customer service (survey) rep to call and verify the account holder of U-Verse and whether I am happy with my service.  Didn't try to sell anything, didn't offer any anti-virus... Just verified if I was a happy customer.    Odd.

received call from this number...I didn't answer...no VM

They just called me claiming to be direct TV.  Also asking if I was having any problems.  They kept acting like they couldn't hear me.  Was suspicious so I hung up.

got a call, did not answer, they did not leave a message.  But reading these comments it reminds of a call several years ago, that was a scam.  This person, barely speaking english
told me that they were showing I had a virus on my computer and given access to my  computer \they would fix it for me.   I replied, that's impossible, I do not have a computer.  They hung up on me.  Just Saying
