    That is what we were told but I am so stupid and don't pay much attention sometime but this kept poppi g up on my bank acct. I thought it was a legit chrg. Then after a couple of months it dawned on me. I remember the gal saying 44th e y were not a Verizon store just a cell phone outlet with Verizon products and they take better care of there products then Verizon does. BS. Now I am stuck. Don't know what to do.

    Definitely agree! It's NOT a scam...I elected this protection when I first bought my Galaxy 4 at the Verizon store. It is alot lower than the protection plan that Verizon offers. Only downside is that the fee comes out of my credit card instead of my phone bill. It's been over a year and haven't had the pleasure of calling them for my phone issues. Truthfully, I think if you go into a store, review your bill before completely leaving and ask all the questions. (;

    It is a scam. I never use Vorizon, never signed for this and they charged me 10.60/month. My bank reversed the charges and cancelled automatic withdrawls.

    You DO NOT GET A NEW PHONE !! and if your phone is no longer made,, they will demand a 180$ deductable and return your broken phone, when you could go buy same phone for 125$ off ebay, or have it repaired for less than 100. company has a good scam going. They also continue to charge you after you ask them to stop charging your card !!

    They don't monitor these threads, you need to call them to cancel or go to an authorized Verizon store that either has sold or currently sells TechProtect.

    I have been charged for this for and long time and didn't realize that Verizon was already charging me $7 a month on my bill for insurance. The numbers I have for that company do not work and I don't even have Verizon Wireless anymore and I am still being charged for this fee! I can't get in contact with anybody there to reverse the charge so I have to go through the inconvenience of having to get a new card from my credit union

    Its a real company, but what they offer is B.S. I signed onto it because they offer new phones for replacement, just to find out the company was bought and that is no longer offered. Furthermore, I made a claim 5 months ago, they have now sent me a 5th phone that still doesn't work and I can't tell you all of the hell they put me through after the first broken phone they sent me. Tech Protect is terrible!! You are better off with no insurance then theirs!

    Well certainly do not call your bank and dispute the charge that way the charges might stop.
