Where did he get that info?
- Kentucky Resident| 2 repliesThey called my partner's cel phone today, with private number showing as Caller ID, claiming to be Austin Dalton and Associates saying they were trying to collect a past due credit card bill from 2001. My stupid man gave them his email address and they sent him a letter through docusign about the bill which of course he opened too. Website address on the letter was created 2/07/2019 and a search for their voice phone number lead me here. Address for the company listed on the letter is a UPS store in Riverside CA. I tried calling the UPS store asking information about the box # listed on the letter and they wouldn't reveal any information.

- PA Resident| 1 replyAn "unknown" number showed up on my cell, my husband's cell phone, and my brother-in-law's cell phone from a caller by the name of Aubrey Campbell (looking for me), stating that it was law firm Dalton & Associates. The voicemail said it was to advise me that there is a pending civil complaint that is scheduled to be filed against me out of our local county's office, for a $5000 visa credit card (which I've never owned) and if I am unaware of the actions being filed, or have questions/concerns, to get in contact with the litigation's department immediately at #855-415-7596. She gave me a reference code of PA##### and told me that it requires immediate attention or else they will move forward with proceedings against me. My husband called the number back. Round 1, the recipient stated "law firm", to which he replied that it was a scam. My husband called a second time, got a different recipient who stated "corporate", which again he said was a scam and to stop calling us. Both recipients were flustered on the phone and hung up on my husband, not to mention never asked if he was me, who they were looking for, but were all too willing to share confidential information about an outstanding $5000 credit card bill. LOL! I'll give them credit for being crafty, but this is a huge SCAM and I feel bad for anyone who falls for this.

- Deborah| 1 replyWoman said she was a lawyer representing cash net USA and that she was going to file a civil suit against me Friday and I would have to go to litigation OR pay $3000 now.
I told her I had no idea what she was talking about and she said “ok well then I guess we will just go to court and we will take it out of you paycheck or put a lien on your house”
I finally realized that she was just saying things like civil suit, court appearance, litagation, documents will be filed, and not answering my questions so I told her if your trying to scare me, it’s not working and hung up.
This has to be against the law.- Caller: Austin Dolten & Associates
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- DeborahI decided to call them back and say “just letting you know there are approximately 150 people in 2 states filing complaints with the district attorneys office against this company”
I called 5 times.
A different person answered every time.
And they hung up every time.
This is definitely a scam and what makes me mad is that there are people that have probably fallen for it and paid them!
What kind of people do something like this?
Does anyone know what can be done about it?- Caller: Austin Dalton & Associates
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- CLMWow! I almost fell for it. They have my email address. Should I be concerned. They called my workplace and asked to speak to an office manager. She got on the phone and a Miss Ward asked her if there was a private room I could be pulled into to sign some paperwork. I am thankful to those of you who were willing to share your stories. Thank you!
