- texasgalI was charged twice...but I know I only donated one time. Two charges on the same day. It makes me annoyed as it puts me off donating and I'd like to know if the person I was donating too got both amounts or if WPY took one?
- texasgal replies to Nina EckhoffI was charged twice too.....it's so upsetting as I don't know if the person I was donating too got both amounts or if he company took one....Is GOFUNDME just a scammer company knowing you won't question $40. I don't think I will donate again to be honest.
- James Parker| 1 replyThey charge 150 dollars to my card , i did not get anything from them or donate to any thing through them.
- Caller: florida magazine
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Tamianth replies to James ParkerI recommend filing a fraud dispute with your bank or CC holder and also filing reports with the FTC & CFB..

http://www.fraud.org/ - Leavlisa replies to Nina EckhoffI think this is if you've given a gift to a person who needed an automobile -- like a fundrasier
- Leavlisa| 1 replyThis is general a number if you have make a donation to a company / person (say for instance I donated $25 for a lady to get an automobile-- so on my Credit Card Billing Statement it says WPY*Automobile855-469-3729CA ) -- the WPY is because the people who the funds go through is either PayPal or WePay ... hope that helps ... just think back if you've donated to a fundraiser online for someone
- Caller: I called them (We Pay)
- RobynMy bank statement stated exactly the cause I contributed to... Thank goodness because I would have freaked out otherwise !
- Igor Barkon| 1 replyI donated money towards funeral expenses. It was fund created to collect money. My payment was processed by this company. It is OK.
- CelticDragon replies to Igor BarkonRiiiight...the money probably is stored in that hump on your back shilly!
- Kevin Casey replies to Nina EckhoffI donated 25.00 to an individual Vet and received an acknowledgement from the individual. It was to GoFundMe I Believe
- d. waltersDid not receive a phone call - but glad I read the comments above. I donated the charge to a young friend raising money for an ngo trip. I usually give straight to the organization.
I hope the We Pay people and Go Fund Me people are reading these - because I will never do this again. I want the name of the organization and the work done receipt.
I don't want a billing clearing house.
Done with this one . - SharonI didn't get a call from them. I never made an electronic donation. A $3.00 charge showed on my VISA March 2015 charges. I reported a dispute to my credit card bank so this scammer won't be paid.
- Caller: WPY Discount Movies (on bill)
- TonyThey have increased the game. I had $2,000 charged to my credit card for a charitable contribution thru WEPAY which I had not authorized. As a matter of practice I never contribute to a non-profit organization by credit card. Fortunately, I caught the fraudulent charge 1 day after posting, called my cc company and got the charge removed.
- John K.A charge was on my credit card for Patrick's cancer for $150. You call the # 855-469-3729 and no person just robo call this is a scam a rip off How did they get my card #
- Caller: No call
- KassieI ws a bit panicked when I saw this charge on my CC account. Could not remember donating with my CC. After reading some of the above comments about GoFundMe using WePay services, I remembered doing a GoFund Me donation for a friend's daughter. I must say, though, I am concerned about the more recent comments about completely unauthorized charges showing up from WePay on other people's CC statements. I think I am going to call my CC company and have them issue me a new card with a new account number. i don't like that WePay has my info on file now.
- Caller: WePay for GoFundMe donation online
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- I know the answer!| 1 replyThis is go fund me. It doesn't say that but it may have the description of what it was you funded.
- Caller: Go Fund Me
- Gunnar replies to I know the answer! When it comes to making a donation through a group like this use a pre-paid card. It's not like you're going to be looking for a tax write-off. A pre-paid card will only cost you about $5 over your donation. If you're sure the cause you're wanting to help is worth your time, what's an extra 5 bucks? I've done this on a couple of occasions. The last time to help a family in GA. who lost their home to a fire. I made sure the cause was real. I still used a pre-paid card to donate.
In this day & age one can never be overcautious. It's a sad fact, but more true every day. Paranoia in regards to your credit & finances is no longer considered to be a trait in need of attention by a therapist. It's thought of as a gift. One that is admired & is hoped to be handed down to your off-spring.
Be Safe. Be Aware.
Gunnar - Tammy Miller| 1 replyI want my 20 dollars back that u guys took out of my account that I never gave u card number or nothing to do so in June and know July I will go to the cops this is [***] u can't just keep taking money from people
- WolfmanJack replies to Tammy MillerWhat makes you think that the people that took this money will read your post and magically know who wrote it? You have a recourse, and that is to contact your bank and tell them you did not authorize that charge. How in the world can people have bank accounts and credit/debit cards and not know this?
- NealI was surprised at first like the other folks when the charge showed up on my CC statement. The description included "T2T" which was ultimately my memory jog to a donation to the Steven Siller "Tunnel 2 Tower" run. I made the donation on line through Crowd Rise.
