My mother got a call from a woman named Nicole. She started to give her last name but she stop and mumble something. First she sounded drunk, 2nd. she said something but hard to understand. She said the same thing as the others, she has a claim against the person she was calling, for her to call them, and they would send someone out to serve papers. Maybe someone needs to call them and do the same to them.

The B%*#H said she's coming tomorrow to serve me. Well I'm out of work with a negative checking account. I just don't have it so I guess I'll just have go to court. I just don't care anymore.

They called my wife they are a debt recovery company and he told me he was at the court house in my town funny thing there is no courthouse in my town. What he is doing is illegal and if you contact the fcc you can file real charges against this company. Here are a few things you can do to stop them from calling simply ask them questions like where are you and ask him to be specific city and state and physical address tell him you can meet him to receive the court papers and you will gladly accept them because you want to see them in court. Write your questions down before you answer the call. You need to be quick with your questions. As soon as he has answered one ask another no pause in between this will frustrate him. It is a violation of federal law for a debt recovery company to lie and threaten you and what he has done is lie to you about his name. He told me his name was Michael Ryder I asked him if he drove a firebird named KIT. You know for the 80's show knight rider. He got pissed off when I called his bluff and said good luck in court. My response was simple " I look forward to seeing you there. He also told me he was a third party messaging service to deliver court papers to me which is another lie because in PA a state constable has to deliver all court documents. Also remember this there is no court that will serve you in a debt collection case that will have you called before to inform you that you will be served papers. They CANNOT EVER file criminal charges against you. Don't be scared and don't let them threaten you there is nothing they can do. Tell them they cannot contact you or anyone else about you  except in writing and that you have already contacted the states attorneys office about them and an attorney has been retained ask them for their mailing address and a telephone number to their lasers and watch them get scared and never call again if they do give you the information you have requested thank them and tell them all further communications must be through your attorney who will be contacting their attorneys. End of problem.

It's after 7:30 PM. She still hasn't shown up.

Received multiple phone calls from Robert Milburne (with an "e") calling private to my house phone, and restricted to my cell phone. He has been leaving messages stating that I needed to contact some mediation firm (877)407-7573 with my case number, otherwise he was going to be out to serve me litigation papers. I answered 1 of his phone calls, and he couldn't tell me who I owed the debt to or how much it was, because all he had was sealed documents with a case number. He stated he would be coming to serve me on 2/10/12 if I didn't call the mediation firm. This morning (2/10), he called again, left a message on my cell phone, reminding me that I have until he gets to my house to call the mediation firm or I will be served. And every time he hangs up says "good luck to you".

Since I have never been "served" anything before, I am not 100% certain, but isn't the whole point of a process server to sort of catch you off guard, not "warn" you that they are coming!!! I am pretty sure that would put many of them out of work, since most people would then avoid being wherever the server is going to go. I say bring it!!!! And from reading other posts under this topic, these people are "serving" court notices all over the country, however, I have yet to see anything on my local court website that I have anything pending against me!!! Isn't the process usually to go before a judge to get a court date before serving someone for a court date? GRRRRR.... I am getting sick of these people!!!

I received a call yesterday from a UNKNOWN number. Telling me he is been ordered to serve me and I have one time to call and discuss the matter. He said he will be serving me papers of because their as been a claim filed against me. He will be at my house or my place of employment by 2/25/2012 over a matter 5 years ago. I called the number nobody answered told me to leave a message. I work in Customer Service and Collections for over 20 years and they don't have recording to for you to leave a message. I started pressing numbers for an extension. I got this dude Norm. I asked him what this was about he said first let me verify your last 4 digits of your SS#. Some how he already had it WOW. I said I haven't heard from anyone about this debt. He says well I don't doubt it that you never got a letter and Pay Day Loan people are legal loan sharks. I asked him about this so called court date he says well can you look on page 3. I said I don't have any papers. He said well they say you owe $$ I told him that was impossible. I asked him again about a court day he said he didn't have one on his information. I asked him he they were the ones that draw up the papers why can't you tell me anymore information. He said let me put you on hold and see what the company will allow you to pay. They came back with this crazy amount in 24 hours 2 options I can pay half in 24 hours and the other half in 2-3 weeks uh NO. They said you can pay $$ every 2 weeks for the next 8 months. I was mad all day long about this. I talked to a few co workers and they said no server calls you and let you know when they are going to serve you. I will NOT be calling these people back for a so called bad check. If the check was bad I would have been notified 5 years ago. They would be an warrant out for my arrest when I got pulled over by the police over my tail light. THEY ARE NOT GETTING A DIME from me.

You are full of crap. They can not take you to court as online payday loans are illegal. Check with the state attorneys office.

Or have fun with the con-artist and upload it to youtube so everyone can laugh at the scammers.Yes you can record the conversation as long as one person(who is part of the conversation) knows the recording is being done.

I received a call last night from my father.  He was very upset.  He had just received a call from a woman who claimed to work for the federal government.  She told him that a capias had been issued for my arrest for a federal fraud over $500 complaint.  She told him that if I did not call back immediately I would be picked up on the capias and extradited back to California.  I called the number this morning and found the caller worked for Recovery Processing.  At no time did she tell my father that she worked for a debt collection agency and she was attempting to collect a debt as required by the FDCPA.  It seems that she was trying to scare my father into paying the debt on my behalf so that I would not be arrested.  Furthermore, I have never received anything from anyone stating I owed a debt.  I am going to call them back today and record the conversation as suggested by "not scammed".

I just got this phone number assigned to me and this number was on the voice mail.  I can tell everyone now that they are scam artists.  First of all nobody is going to put you in jail or issue any kind of warrant for not paying a bill.  What they are doing is illegal and you can report their number. The more people do it the more likely they will be shut down.  However they just call to scare you.  Always ask for papers regarding what ever bill, pay day loan or whatever they claim to be shown to you.  In other words don't even answer the phone. And above all don't pay attention to anything they say !!!!  Believe me its a scam.  Try and get some kind of device to block their calls.

Well it seems this SCAM is going a new route.  I received an email from them (with no return email addy, HOW do they do that?> saying I had "won cash" and to call this numbers.  What a joke.  I wish the idiots of this world would vanish and stop wasting everyone's time, energy and resources.  What a pig.  I hope the good Lord has a special place in hell for these FOOLS.

Thank you for posting this information. Recovering Processing Systems,  have been calling my home numerous times and leaving threatening messages. I am an elderly person recovering from surgery and they are relentless. They have also called other family members and harassed them as well. You are so right for clarifying,  that this is a civil matter. Thank you also  for the link to FDCPA, is truly appreciated.

Experience is the same as others. I block one number they call from another number. Very frustrating as I get so many phone calls a day and this is a waste of my time!!
