I recently received a call form this number 1(855)527-8272 didn't pick up but left me a VM by a lady named "Kelly Crow" it said they were calling to receive a final statement from ( they did mention my name) regarding a pending legal matter???? They also stated that if I wanted to dispute or solve this matter voluntarily to contact them!!!! Wth? Is this a scam or some fraud company??? Please help!!

Same exact message as M from Nevada posted on 6-19-2015   They called from 262-436-7232 but left the 855# as the return #   Going to block and report to FTC   There would be no valid reason for their call.

I received this exact call word for word but the caller id only shows my city and a local number 434-338-1851. This is the first
time they have left a message. Usually calls daily but hangs up on the voicemail. It also left the 855-527-8272 number.It drives me crazy and not being able to stop them only makes it worse!

Received an automated message stating that they were unsure if I'd received any papers in the mail yet but wanted me to call and follow up with the toll free number of 855-527-8272, original call number was a Roseburg Oregon number of 541-236-0247.  I used an un traceable phone line and called the 855 number and received another automated answering machine with a message to leave my information or call back.  I did neither.

Same thing, they have been calling me from local numbers (I'm in Nevada) and multiple 855 #'s. Never waits for the voicemail to start before they leave msg, or they hang up or get this one voicemail will be of breathing and shuffling sounds. Same man each time an actual voicemail is left, by the name of Peter Thomas. Yes I do have some serious debts but.... All have been contacted and payment arrangements setup and kept. None of which are associated with this business (this particular so called debt collection agency). Today they called my elderly step father asking for my ss# and info. Now to my knowledge, I have never used his number as a refrence or called a company from it. And as a note these calls started back in July before I obtained any such said debt. From what I'm reading today on all these comments, about 90% say it's a scam and I firmly believe it.

Not sure what to do. Received call from a local number. They left the phone number for curt wright and kline even an extention 112  It was regarding my son. How do we check for being legitimacy . Should I be concerned

Hi all :) me again. So this time they called my mothers cell phone. They did not ask for info this time, rather gave the info to her and she was tired of the calls so she played along lol. It's supposedly Lane Bryant (commenity bank). Here's the kicker, they said lane bryant was getting ready to sue??!!!! Really because I have outstanding credit with them. So she then proceeded to tell the man that there is no such bill and research had been done on them and found out they were scam artists and that she was going to call the police on them. Needless to say he hung up really fast. So please....BE AWARE

Wow what a F in scam in got about 8 calls in a 2 week period I new it was a scam right away the same scum bags was calling my cell I put a block on the number then somehow they got my home number land line I guess they call it now I'm thinking about having some fun tell them my name Is  Seymour Butts and give them a crazy SS number  consisting all 0 and the last number would be 1 I'll think about it if I  board everyone b careful

They called me from (855) 527-8272 and left a message asking me to call back.  They used my complete name and indicated they needed my SSN in order to file a claim against me in my (real name) county.  This is the second time they call requesting my SSN.  The previous time they said it was a medical claim. They have also called my sister and daughter requesting their SSN's.

Called repeatedly from a local area code, never leaving a message. Tired of the constant calls, I answered. It was a message from a "legal firm of Spinelly" and this was the final opportunity to speak to a consultant regarding a claim filed with their office, before it would go to a "civil court in your area". I could either call the return number of 855-527-8272 or press "5" to be connected to an associate. I did not go either. Block their number

These people have absolutely scammers. They have been calling and calling my home and cell nonstop. On my cell phone they leave a blank message that last for a few seconds and my home number they leave urgent messages that they will take this a step further if I don't make a payment etc. they call from local numbers then tell you to call back an 855 number. They are so rude and nasty once they know your on to them. I gave them a BIG piece of my mind. Sitting around and scamming innocent people. Pissed!!!!!!!

Cartwright and Klein and Associates. I have no idea who they could possible be or what they are doing with my social security number. They are touting that they have my social with an unresolved issue. Sounds fishy to me. Wish they would leave me alone.

So like the rest of you I have been getting these robo calls.  I use to work for an attorney that also did collections, so I already knew this was a scam.  I went to the website of this Curtwright & Klein and googled their address.  The address belongs to a home care services that provides oxygen. I have blocked them on my cell and will be blocking them on my house line.  What a pain in the [***] these scammers are.

Call blocker might be of some help.  Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd.  Or where there is no caller ID.  There’s  no way to stop the calls from being initiated.

Consider sending them a cease and desist letter.  This should be by US mail, return receipt requested.

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.  Tell 'em  no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.

You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking).   the only thing they understand.

A message was left on our voicemail from this number requesting that my husband call a Peter Thomas at this number asking for Ext. 112.  I have a habit of doing a search on a number I have no association with and was glad I checked.

Yes I just got the same call

I was left a message stating that they received some files with my name and that it's important that I reach them and that I should've received paperwork about the issue; his name is Mr. Morris from "Curtwright & Klein". He never states what the issue is or why he's calling which all debt collectors do from my knowledge. I googled this number and there are numerous scam alerts.  I never called back it just didn't feel right, my instincts told me not to even bother. I've been scammed once before and that was a hell ride in a hand bag to go through, I wouldn't wish that upon my worst enemy, stay safe, many blessings.

I have gotten at least five calls both at work and on my cell from 203-989-9276 asking that I return a call to 855-527-8272.  One of the messages was the "I'm calling in regards to an issue very recently filed within our office involving your name and social security number".  Filed both numbers with the Federal Do Not Call List, and just got another call from this number. Just found out it takes 31 days for number to be fully blocked.

Just got a call and they mentioned my dad (why are they calling for my dad on my phone when he has his own?) By name and said something about having something going to be filed in the the county he USED to live in (mentioned by name). They are trying to step up their game. Freaked me out at first until I figured out that they are scammers.

Number that called me was 717-335-6102, when I answered the recording said I had a problem and they needed my social security number, said that I needed to call 855-527-8272 to get things figured out
