Called all over - mother's phone, nieces phone & left threatening messages about case being filed against me.  Need me to call back so I can give my attorney's correct information.  When I called back, wanted me to verify info and I refused.  I was not giving my SSN or DOB.  When they answered they said, "Investigations".  No firm name or anything.  Per NYS AAG, hang up and report the calls.

YEAH, THEY CALLED OVER THE WEEKEND AND CALLED MY SON'S CELL PHONE. THEY ARE SCUMBAGS. DON'T LISTEN TO THEM. GET A REAL JOB.

They called and left me a message also is it a scam or real I have no clue and I don't have a attorney for the case for them to call them because I didn't know I had a case with them or what its even for  

They called three weeks ago stating I owe them money, so I asked for all resolving proof they have on the situation, and they told me that they don't need proof they just need the information. They then just called again after calling my daughters phone stating different information from three weeks ago and stating that I only have two options of going to court or resolving it out of court. Byer beware they are saying the county you live in!!!!!!!. A bunch of b.s. and they are prick's.

Don't worry stress over it. They did the same thing to me.

Called my work number and stated they were with " Kaufman Law Firm" Give me a BS case number and said they will issue a summons to my work or home if I dont call back to resolve. After reading posts be careful they are scammers lookign to get your info

I got the same call. But the funny part they are calling about a loan that was paid off last year. But they claim its still unpaid. I contacted the police they said to stop all payments and flag my acounts. I got another call today saying I broke contract and they are proceeding court proceedings. So if they do I'm ready because I have all my bank staments should when and how I paid the balance and I getting a paid in full letter for my loan. Just becareful. These people need to be stopped and the police should do more and stop them.

I just received the same phone call. Threatening to summons me and take me to court. They knew my last 4 numbers of my ss# very nervous about that. I told them I wanted some documentation  regarding this bill? That I owed in 2006?
I am thinking of calling the non emergency police.

Got called today and got taken for 100. Claimed they were from mAckenzie and reid  

For at least the last year, an illegal group of debt collectors have been terrorizing consumers, their family, friends, and employers threatening to arrest the individual of an unpaid loan or other debt (their generally don't even owe).  Be aware debt is a civil matter, not a criminal matter, and you can't be arrested.  The threaten a warrant if the victim does not pay a sum of money by the credit card over the phone.

Although when pressed the callers give the victim an address in Columbia South Carolina (usually a vacant lot).  They are actually out of the Charlotte North Carolina area.  The scammers are using the following business names

Kaufmann and Associates
Sanderson Blaine & Associates
McKenzie Reid Associates
Kennedy, Kline, & Associates
