What did they say?

just received a voice mail call from some one saying her name is Josie Watts and that she attempted to deliver legal documents to me and was unsuccessful to please call the filing party at 855-869-4698

Did she call back was it a scam??

IF there was actual paperwork, you would NOT have a warning cold call.

called me a few times a few weeks ago leaving messages that they were going to serve me with papers. I talked to a lawyer at my company and they checked to see if the case number she left on the voice mail was legit and they could not find anything. Got a call again today saying they tried to serve me at work and home and weren't able to which is a lie because I am at work everyday. No saying they are filing a case against me and I will miss my court date. But lawyer says there is no case or court date. So I call B.S.

Just received the same call. Total crap they didn't even leave a case number on the voicemail.

I received a phone call from 818-659-2953 with the threat of a process server trying to locate me and directed me to call 855-869-4698. When I called back, a "gentleman" answered the phone and asked for the phone number that where the message was left. I gave him a bogus number and he fake proceeded to look up my file. Then he told me that HSBC had filed a lawsuit against me for an unpaid balance and I could make this all go away for pennies on the dollar. I just had to give him my credit card number and we could take care of this immediately. I have never had any business dealings with HSBC, so I told him to call my fake attorney to take care of this fake lawsuit.

I received a phone call  from (409)908-4171 and when i checked my voicemail, Josie Watts with county serving documents for missed court and stated she attempted to deliver legal documents . also  in case of missed court , to call 1(855)869-4698 to speak with a representative.

I have been receiving messages from this Josie Watts and several other names with this same number.  They state that they are trying to serve me papers for an "unresolved matter".  I am really ticked about this today because she called my parents house today and left a message stating that she had been to my place of employment (lie) and that she had been to my house (lie). This really upset my Dad, he thought I was in some kind of trouble.  This is not acceptable to me at all.  My parents are elderly people and do not deserve to have this kind of crap in their lives.
Furthermore, the county office  in my home county does not have an 855 number.  And they do not call you to tell you they are going to serve you papers. They just show up and serve you papers.
When will this kind of BS ever stop?

Received the same Josie Watts message and I called this number back and was given the same noise. I managed to get the name of the company Cardoza & Wecksler (probably mispelled)  5676 North Erie Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16550 So I can follow up with a Cease and Desist letter!

Thank you for posting this. I just received a call from (714)-868-5879. I let it go to voice mail as I NEVER answer calls from unknown callers. the VM said to call 855-869-4698. I Googled that number and found this thread.

I received a call from Josie watts as well with the same info as already reported. They were using my last name from over 5 years ago. Don’t fall for this!

I keep getting calls from 407-439-1732 or another Florida number or even unknown with Josie Watts saying they are trying to serve me with legal papers at home or work. I don't live in Florida anymore and haven't in quite a while. Unfortunately, my husband also gets calls from her about me and I keep getting them every couple of weeks. Wonder when my "court date" will be over. She keeps saying to call the 855-869-4698 number back to pay some fee to get the case dropped. I don't get a case number or anything when they leave a voicemail. I also know I haven't done anything illegal or anything that anyone can be upset with me about, so I try not to worry about it.

Today, directly after this call, I received another call from 788-982-6188 saying they are looking for me to serve papers to, but it was a man calling and it was from a phone number of a guy who is 100 years old. I don't think so. . . He also didn't say what his name was.

So, I was a little curious about the address you gave. It looks like it's a huge house in a residential neighborhood, no business name comes up in a google map search, either. Wish they'd knock these calls off and get a real job.

A lot of these criminal debt collectors operate off of their kitchen table.

I work as an EA and I received a voicemail from Josie Lox or Josie Watts (hard to tell) regarding one of our contractors. She said she is a courier with the county responsible for serving legal docs pertaining to our contractor's SS# and that she needed to press 1 to be connected or dial 855-869-4698 to make sure a court date wasn't missed.

I received the following voicemail: from the phone number 307-683-1650.

This is intended for "my name." We are contacting you in regards to a final reconciliation of your account here in our office because you have already spoken with the representative we have placed your account file on hold. In order for you to follow up with our office. This is a very time sensitive matter and if no contact is made we will be forced to forward this documentation into your local jurisdiction. Please give us a call at 855-869-4698. Again that was 866-869-4698 to resolve this matter or you may press 1 to speak with a representative."

I have not called either number before and by the looks of the comments above, they have used a different number to call people.

I received the same call as everyone else.  I have filed a complaint with the FCC.
