DO NOT fall for this SCAM! DO NOT get filled with anxiety when receiving a call such as those reported on this thread.
They are using SCARE TACTICS in an attempt to steal YOUR money, YOUR personal information and YOUR identity.
Real Process Servers DO NOT call one ahead of time to give one a choice as to where one wishes to be served (work or residence). Real Process Servers DO NOT call one they are serving ahead of time to give one a last chance to pay anything. Real Process Servers are paid to deliver documents unannounced. The last thing a real Process Server wants is YOUR money or to do anything, but show up at your door and hand the papers over to you.

Same here, Josie Watts...blah blah blah, tried to serve you at work (I'm currently unemployed) and home (here all day) ...blah blah blah.
It's just a bottom feeder old debt collector. In my state they can't even sue after 3 years. The only debt I can think of is a decade old.
    Blocked the number.
Also, she calls from a local area code for each person. Scam...

Get a message from Josie Watts leaving my maiden name on voicemail threatening to have a jurisdiction against me and it’s my third and final warning. How do these people get so much info?

Same as everyone else states:  Josie Watts calling, she's a courier with the county (doesn't specify which one) and was trying to get a hold of someone with our same last name, but not the right first one, to serve papers.  Called from 509-361-1303.

Have received several calls with this exact same message from ‘Josie Watts’. They seem to be using different local numbers in an attempt to get someone to answer but call back number is always the same. Just googled the 855 number and found this thread. Just another scam..

I read the messages before leaving mine and found out that all of them were from the last two months. I also got a voicemail from Josie Watts talking about changing my social security number and left me this number 855 869 4698. The call was from a local number, which must have been generated.

I received the same message for a name I haven't used in 10 years. I'm going to find out where they can be reported. They used a local calling number. Total bs. No one's going to call you telling you they are attempting to serve you documents regarding your social security number. What idiots

This is a scam. Do not reply. They left a message stating it was their final attempt to serve me with documents regarding my social security number.
Here's a link regarding these type of numbers and how to handle them. Definitely don't want to reply you're setting yourself up to have their information stolen

Just received a phone call from Josie Watts saying she’s a county summons server requesting to collect a debt. Has my S.S. number, to press 1 to speak to someone. I was scammed out of $8000.00 in 2013-2014, will NOT be calling her back!!!! Thanks Kat for posting, I’m relieved now.

You should have kept on reading as there is more information that you could have learned from.  If you paid one of these people before then you are considered and easy mark and your name is sold as such.

If you feel your SSN has been compromised, in addition to putting a fraud alert at the 3 credit bureaus, you may want to notify the IRS.  Here is the link, fill out the proper form (probably 14039):

Same here. No caller ID. Googled the phone #, found this thread. Interestingly enough, most of the voicemail was so garbled that I couldn’t make out the case #.

Today I received a call from a 217-210- number (Springfield, IL prefix more than likely spoofed to give the appearance of a local call). They left the following dandy of a message with many key elements..

"This is message is intended for [my name]. We are contacting you in regards to a final reconciliation of your account here in our office. Because you have already spoken with a representative we have placed your account file on hold, in order for you to follow up with our office. This is a very time sensitive matter and if no contact is made we will be forced to forward this documentation into your local jurisdiction. Please give us a call at 855-869-4698. Again that was 866-869-4698 to resolve this matter or you may press 1 to speak with a representative."

1st Element: The typical claim that the one being called has an "account" (never mind that they are not calling from an office in the first place).

2nd Element: **THIS IS A NEW TACTIC** - They claim you have already spoken with a representative. Of course you didn't but just as the message as a whole is intended to create anxiety and hopefully cause a reaction.. *This "you have already spoken with a representative" is a ploy to con you into calling regardless if you are aware it's a scam, because the immediate reaction by the one being called is "I never contacted anyone." which could lead to, "I'm calling them back to tell them I never called" -or- If unaware it's a scam one might think.. "Someone must've used my name to get a loan of some sort. I'm calling them." And that's when they have you. Calling them opens the door for them to attempt to drive home their scam and con you into giving additional personal info and paying something you do not owe. They'll drop the amount owed, multiple times if you refuse. It doesn't matter what they get out of you. Money is money.

3rd Element: "This is a very time sensitive matter and if no contact is made we will be forced to forward this documentation into your local jurisdiction." No legal locator or process server calls to give you a last chance to pay up. If this were a real debt of any kind you would've already received a letter, with company letterhead with legit physical address (not PO Box or UPS Box *See below) and phone numbers, original company to which the debt is owed along with their registered state number.

*If you receive a letter, make sure you check for key scammer practices...
Most scammers will mail and place their Post Office box or UPS box location as a physical address. You might miss that it's a PO Box or UPS Box because they mask the box number as a "suite" number or "office" number or "department" number.
