***A company must be licensed in their state as well as the one they are trying to collect in if two different states are involved.

    Some Tips:
    *Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time, date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.

I expect you lack familiarity with my diffuse body of work across mystery phone call sites, including quite recently in this same thread. I'm in that minority of Americans who has practiced what he preached about consumer rights by visiting county and Federal courts and earning thousands of dollars off the spineless backs of lawbreakers.

The total cease-comm is not a trigger I pull unless I am certain the debt claim is invalid or past its "sue by" date. This Credence would probably get my cease letter promptly, once I determine in how many illegal ways they are desperate for my money. When a collection lawsuit is plausible, the agency is made to validate and instructed when and how I may be contacted. For some reason that branch of the decision tree is never discussed in rudimentary advice articles, which I find mildly insulting when they tell me again that a cease-comm "will not make debt go away".

As usual I have my PDF copy of the FDCPA open and handy. §1692c does not compel a debt collector to provide a mailing address. No part of the Act does, despite assurances from many who have not read it carefully. Maybe that's something the CFPB or Congress can tack on if they ever get around to a revision. What I might try is an unfair practice claim if an agency keeps its location a secret to prevent me from asserting my rights, provided of course that I can paint the target for my process server on my own, and that the offender has also handed me more conventional violations.

This is a collection company and they need to be reported to the FTC.

This company called me  on a "spoofed number" . When I called back I got someone else....I know it's them because the second time they called i asked who they were with and told them i owe them nothing. After hanging up I called the number and again it was not their company that answered. They are spoofing Indiana numbers.

These people have called my cell phone using several different numbers re: 317-982-6776 ...317-982-6804...317-982-6191 I have told them each time to quit calling. Today, I let them know I have all dates and phone numbers listed that have called me and if I get one more call I will sue them. I am not who they are looking for and will not be harassed. i also told them, that by law whoever they are trying to reach should be reached by mail not phone.  I can sure use a few bucks....they may be paying up if just one more call is made to me.

I have received several calls from a similar number. Just a rearrangement of the same numbers really. 251.800.7583
DO NOT under any circumstances give ANY information to a caller from this or any number that will not disclose the nature of the call. They will give no information regarding their business and are simply phishing for information and money to those willing to freely give it. Yes, the money that you have given is lost. Please visit ic3.org to file an official complaint. It is imperative that we all fight against this demon that has presented itself in out midst. This company does NOT exist! Keep them on the line while another party calls law enforcement if possible. Flood the offices of law with these complaints and maybe a voice or two will be heard.

I have been trying to get them to take an account and return it to AT&T, as per instructions from AT&T. They refuse, talk over what i am trying to say, ignore hwat I am saying, and are generally sleazy and VERY unprofessional. I have been working on this for several days now, and believe it will be settled. The final word from AT&T is that i can pay them each month, and they will forward the payment to CRM. CRM refused to send the bill back to ATT, BTW. They will not get any personal information from AT&T when I make the payments each fourth Wednesday when my Social Security is paid. I am going to set up a draft for each fourth Wednesday (or the 28th of the month) to AT&T, so here gores round  25000? .

I refused to give them my SS# or any part of it. They didn't like that at all. But they use it to search for the account. I gave them their own acct number--funny thing--they found it right away.

I'm curious, how do these people obtain information that we've used an ER/ambulance with the correct amount of money that we supposedly owe?

I have received two calls a day from this number. They refuse to say who they represent. I have asked for a supervisor; I have asked for info in writing; I have asked to not be called. They have refused to comply in all cases. Be careful of any dealings with them.
