There is no such air carrier called "US Airlines." There is US Air and United Airlines but "US Airlines" does not exist. http://www.kls2.com/airlines/n-america.html lists all North American carriers and "US Airlines" isn't on it. This is a scam.

I got a letter today with caller ID 1-855-879-817 in the mail for an "award of 2 RT tickets". Strangely  worded though, as it says "These tickets are valid for travel anywhere in the Continental U.S. from any major international airport. The retail value of this award is up to $1,398.00. Certain restrictions apply".

I guess it is SCAM!!!!!

Received the form letter today.  There is no US Airlines as others have said. Who do I report this to?

How concerned should I be that they have my information to send this to me in the first place?

We got the same exact letter as stated above.  I am reporting it to the BBB.

This people think they can do whatever they want all around the world. They have scam, hacker, and more and more....they was using the computer to send messages about reward or money you won. To claim money you have to give it to them information that they can use for fraud. They are using postal address to notify about claim, money or rewards. Are they nuts. They does not want to stop and they dos not want to either. Crazy, crazy, crazy people.....

This letter said::: You must respond no later than January 26, 2013

I am pleased to inform you that you have qualified for an award of 2 roundtrip airline ticket. Congratulations. These ticket are valid for travel anywhere in the continental U.S. from any major international airport. The retail value of this award is up to $1,398.00. Certain restriction apply.

We have attempted contacting you several times without success. This is our last attempt. If we do not hear from you soon, we may need to issue the ticket vouchers to the alternate..

This has nothing to do with US Airways. It is US AIRLINES. it is scam do not wist your time.

Hello all, received some stupid notice I was the fortunate WINNER of an airline ticket(s) from US Airlines.  FIRST, US AIRWAYS is not US Airlines.  SECOND, what the hell is: 21.C0108J?  Listed at the bottom of the notice?  THIRD, use common sense when you receive this trash in your mail.  Shred it, tear it up, or flush down your toilet.  These types of companies are trash and only seeking personal information.  Really, your going to travel far on a $1398.00 airline certificate?  Maybe a round trip ticket from Seattle to Denver?

I also received a letter in mail. Same exact thing as others.

I received a letter informing me that I was qualified for an award of 2 round trip airline tickets and I would be responsible for tax, registration fees and processing fee.  The letter asks me to call 1-855-879-8217 immediately and is signed by Dana Kline, VP.

Received the same letter from U S Air with 2 free round trip airline tickets signed by Dana Kline. I did not respond after reading all the other comments on this web site.

US Airline scam letter
