Just got similar call. Called my credit card number on back of my
card. No calls were made by them. Scam!

Just got a call from this number.  Don't have the card they're referring too.  Seems like theyve been doing this all day.  Sad thing is they'll probably get enough gullible people, that don't do their research, to hand over their info.  Never blindly give anyone your financial info.

voicemail left on my cell phone informing me (august 31, 2014) my Master Card may have been compromised. Must enter a card number to speak to someone. I dialed 855-956-0445 from a different phone and it does not exist...

They have now added a live operation. ..  Also the number with the 305 area code is linked on the actual Barclaycardus.com..  How is that?

Received call today 4PM PST about suspicious credit card activity and to call back 855-956-0445
Checked bank records online and no suspicious activity
Will ignore - likely a scam as previously reported

Just got the same msg as everyone below...

call from Barclay bank saying there was fraud on my account....my barclay is closed and is a visa not a mastercare...I called the number back and there was a phone directory, you had to put in your credit card number

It's sad they will get a few people.

My moms friend got a call like this and was starting to give them the info when my mom told her to hang up.

The friend is one of those people that won't watch the news or shows like 20/20 because they are depressing or scary.

She's not that bright of a person.

Got a voice mail about a MasterCard World Card.  Don't have one.  This is a total scam - do not return their call or give them any information!

Just got the same call. Called Barclays and was told they've received a lot of calls from California about this, and that they did not initiate the calls.

I received a call a few minutes ago with this number stating the same thing about fraud with a barclays card.  beware!

Same here. Just got a call from "fraud protection" for my "Barclay World Master Card" When I valled back the automated voice asks you to enter your 16 diit card number.  SCAM!

Yes. It's a SCAM!!!!!!!. I just talked with my cc company, and they could confirm it.

Just rcvd call from this number. They left a vm which stated something about possible fraudulent charges on my Barclay World MC (of which I don't own) & [now here's where it raised a red flag] ...the msg cont'd on to say, "the only way to verify this is by calling back and doing a CHARGE verification".  Puh-leeze, who's stupid enough to actually call back after hearing that message?!

Total spam called minutes ago, BOGUS call to trick you into giving your credit card number to a thieving stranger, as noted by the many others who have reported on this number. It was a Robo-Call to my cell phone. I added their number to my cell phone "Block List," so hopefully no more calls or texts from them ever again.
