Received a call from this number at work today - didn't answer when I said hello, but after a few seconds said in heavily accented English that they were "getting a signal from my computer," I cut him off immediately saying that he most certainly wasn't getting a signal from my computer as I'm at work and we have dedicated in-house IT. Then I hung up on him. I had a missed call from this same number over this past weekend, no message left.

Got a call from this number from a man with an Indian accent, said there may be something wrong with my computer. I told him "No, there's nothing wrong with my computer". He said there may be things wrong with it that I don't know about. I said " Nope " and hung up on him.

Got the call on my cell, but the caller ID was broken - said it was in China : +86 (0) 540-6999. Didn't answer, no message. Clearly spam, as my wife got the same call around the same time as me - her number is 1 digit away from mine. She, likewise didn't answer and no message was left.

Just got the same call. He wanted me to turn my computer on because it is heavily infected with virus. I kept asking questions saying witch computer do I need to turn on because I have more than one he said any. I said do u even know my name how do u know my computer has issues. He just kept saying you need to go turn your computer on now and I can help you. I hung up and tried calling back and would not go through.

Strong accent male said my computer was "filled with viruses". I yelled he was filled with Bull***t.  Yelled it Loudly. Five times. He then said he was going to slap me. I said I was calling Attorney General.  He said he was going to be calling me 10 times a day. Hung up on me. Then used a Restricted number and tried to call me back.  Put the 860 in reject list, but I expect he will keep trying my cell # since I ticked him off.

A guy just called with a number identified as coming from China. +86 (0) 540-6999
If you take away the + sign it would be from Bristol, CT. He sounded Chinese, said that he was from the Geek Squad and then proceeded to ask me how many times a week do I f**k my wife. The only reason I answered the call is because I have a friend who lives in China.

Just got a call from this number, I picked it up by accident (looked like another number I had called earlier in the day).

"Max" introduced himself as being a specialized computer technician, informing me that my computer was heavily infected because of my activity on social media, etc. I told him I do not use social media (true), only use the internet for Gmail (partly true - I also use 800notes.com!). He wanted me to be in front of my computer so he could show me how infected it was. I asked what company he worked for, and how I was connected to his company. He says my computer reports to a central location that it is infected. I say my antivirus software is up to date, and just ran and gave me a clean report. He says he is not talking about antivirus, but "web infections".... sounds like a scam. He would not give me a number to call him back on, when I told him I would call back when I got in front of the computer.

This number that everyone is talking about just called me and told me my computer has been sending them terrible messages XD. I asked him how my cellphone number and computer are linked, and he started yelling at me (very much an Indian accent) about how dare I ask such a thing. He eventually stopped talking when I would laugh at him and I hung up. Funniest call I have ever received.

As a follow up, I could not find any information about "Geek Support Drive".

"Max" called me back (since he would not give me a number to call him back at) to follow up with our previous call. This time, the number he called from was 212-619-9999. I told him it was not a good time, but asked for some information to verify that it was MY computer he was referring. He gave me a "Product ID number" for me to verify, I told him I would check it and call him back, had to ask him twice for a number. He gave me 516-210-0398 to call him back at, said to ask for Max when I call in. I will not be calling in, the Product ID number is bogus (not even the correct number of digits for my operating system), and all three of the phone numbers are seeming to be associated with scams.
