- keziapurrsKeep on calling di*kheads. I'm never going to return your calls. I don't owe anyone anything so there's no reason for them to be harassing me. Now, when they call I answer with my fax machine so they get to hear the squeeling and squelching. I only use my home phone for internet access anyway. May as well just turn the volume to "0".
I HATE these people. Come and get me if you're so though, tried and true!- Caller: Sidney Mickell

- sick-n-tiredI've gotten these calls because my ex has rolled credit cards since 1999. Heavens knows the grand total by now. I however am left in the aftermath of his stupidity. The lovely Sidney Mickell is relentlessly calling my home with the same stupid senario as you all have experienced. Guess my first mistake is even returning the call. I told them nothing less that hiring someone to come from CA. to my state and knock on his door would produce any response. They have no intention on doing more than sitting on their fat butts and dialing endlessly. That's fine however, the home phone gets ripped out this week. I have filed a complaint with the FTC and since I luckily have their phone number and now their name I can add more info to the complaint as recommended by the FTC. How do these people get up in the morning and look at themselves in the mirror, perhaps the mirror is cracked. What a job, being a cockroach on societies dung heap.
Only thing that would make it a better experience all around,would be if perhaps they'd hire hp's overseas help desk full of Pakistani's to make the calls. They'd save a bundle and drive the irritation level to a new high!
Gotta love life.

- annoyedI got a call at my home on my answering machine today and a note from my neighbor with the company information. Until today I had not heard of this company. This is what I found for them on the Better Business bureau.

Their company is obviously a legitimate collection agency using not so respectful actions to try to collect debt. I'm sure I do have some minimal debt out there, but I was unaware what THEY are specifically calling about. So I called the 866-204-3786 and it rang like 10 times before someone answered and all I could hear in the background was very loud call center. I decided to hang up and try again another time when I have time to talk. (I am at work) - donacame home today and there was a short note from this number! can they do that? seems pretty extreme to me. note just had their name and to ask for arthur

Told that they didn't care and to pay now. Aslo, told not to call my work-yet disregarded that request from the original compay to this "Law" office.

- Not Noble replies to MR. NOBLE jr.Dude you must be insane. These postings have complained about harassment and the failure of these subversive callers to identify themselves or provide any written proof of the debt. You demand to "PAY YOUR BILLS". Fine, I agree with that, everyone should pay their bills. But why do you call people over and over and not tell them who you are, threaten them with illegal acts, and refuse to send any written proof of this "BILL"?
You and I both know why. That is because you lack the legal proof needed to collect these debts. I am so sorry but no proof means no collection.
You can make your moral arguments if you want. But no one is going to cry for you. The law is the law and morality doesnt matter. I wont mention that scumbags like you tend to circumvent the law by trying to get people to pay loans that are not theirs or are too old to collect (ok I did mention it). Who is the moral person here? Lying stupid collectors or a poor debtor who hit a "hard time" as you say? Stop violating the law and refusing to provide proof of the debt while at the same time claiming the higher moral ground. You are not the judge of me!!! But if you continue to violate the law, a judge may judge your conduct so behave accordingly! - JON S. LEVINSON| 1 replyThis a harrassing phone call. They called my daughter-in-law, looking for my daughter. She had no knowledge of this company, and when I called on her behalf they refused to give me any information.
- Give No Quarter replies to JON S. LEVINSONWhen you hear from these folks, take a few momwents to tell them that you expect to receive a notice within five days under the FDCPA. You can also ask for their mailing address and send them a cease and desist telephone communications. Keep in mind, that until you have some type of debt verification from any collection company, you should assume the debt is "alleged." In my opinion, it is not a good idea to verify any info (including last four of SSN) over the phone when speaking with someone you do not know or have an established business relationship with.
- Linda Lou replies to pay your billPlease!! This must be from the "law office of Sydney & Mickell" This is exactly what one of your telephone solicters said to me. Coincidence??? I THINK NOT!
- Learn to spell... replies to ALERTING THE REAL TROLL THAT REPLIEDIt's Fair Debt Practices Act, not practises you idiot....maybe you should stop paying your bills for a month or so, and take some spelling classes.
- If you need the info for this company... replies to ALERTING THE REAL TROLL THAT REPLIEDLaw Office of Sidney Mickell, of 5050 Palo Verde Street #113, Montclair, CA 91763, telephone number: "866-204-3786." This attorney is listed with the CA BAR Association.....WHAT A JOKE!!!
- Bogus!I received a voicemail telling me to call this lawyers office.
The funny thing is, they asked for a name that does not exist. Few years ago I started up my company and as you may know... people call from all over (India) and want to get company information. Well, for the most part we tell them to send us something in the mail and we will review it, we have a policy of not disclosing such information over the phone. Ever since, we have received stuff for this bogus name. I checked with a big creditor for companies and they had that name from 'cold' callers. Regardless, I still receive 'cold' calls with this persons name... so anytime I ask who they want to speak with and they mention that name, I just laugh and tell them, that person doesn't exist you have the wrong info and hang up. And yes, I did check and make sure there was no identify theft being pulled... It was just someone filling in the blanks so they can get paid a few more cents at work.... I wonder if these people also work for Acorn...- Caller: Law Offices of ......
- Diana AnthonyThese people keep calling me looking for my ex-husband. I tell them over and over that he does not live at this address, but that doesn't stop them.
- Homer replies to nosey| 3 repliesNo need for her to sluggo. You are harassing someone who does not owe a debt....the daughter does. Go find her on your own. It's all right and dandy in the real world.
- Homer replies to Unhappy SonThe only thing they can go after is any 'estate' your father may have had. Other than that, they CAN NOT go after anyone else unless their name were on whatever account they may be trying to collect on.
- Jennifer BruckerThey are calling me every day telling me it is imperative that I contact them regarding what is "going to take place" regarding debt that I do not owe.

- Q master| 1 replyHello All,
The collection agency,Sidnay Michael , is located in Montclair, CA . If you received a call from them, there is only one reason; They want your money. They want you to open your check book, or debit card. Don't be fooled. Even if you OWE the debt, you should NEVER pay to the collection agency. You do not owe them anything. The original creditor has written-off the debt and got their tax break from uncle Sam. So if you pay to the collection agency, it does not satisfy anything, it does not good to your credit. If anything, it will make your credit WORSE, because your FICO will trigger this account as a recent activity. So please, never pay a dime to a debt collector.
If you get call, or if you receive a dunning letter from them, send them by cerified mail, the following letter and keep a copy for youself. In addition, get a copy of your credit report, log every phone call, browse consumer boards and educate yourself about the law called FDCPA.
This letter is called, Validations of Debt. It is the ultimate weapon against debt collectors.

This is NOT a request for “verification” or proof of my mailing address, but a request for VALIDATION made pursuant to the above named Title and Section. I respectfully request that your offices provide me with competent evidence that I have any legal obligation to pay you.
Please provide me with the following:
• What the money you say I owe is for;

• Provide me with copies of any papers that show I agreed to pay what you say I owe;
• Provide a verification or copy of any judgment if applicable;
• Identify the original creditor;
• Prove the Statute of Limitations has not expired on this account
• Show me that you are licensed to collect in my state
• Provide me with your license numbers and Registered Agent
At this time I will also inform you that if your offices have reported invalidated information to any of the 3 major Credit Bureau’s (Equifax, Experian or TransUnion) this action might constitute fraud under both Federal and State Laws. Due to this fact, if any negative mark is found on any of my credit reports by your company or the company that you represent I will not hesitate in bringing legal action against you for the following:
• Violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act
• Violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
• Defamation of Character
If your offices are able to provide the proper documentation as requested in the following Declaration, I will require at least 30 days to investigate this information and during such time all collection activity must cease and desist.
Also during this validation period, if any action is taken which could be considered detrimental to any of my credit reports, I will file suit against you without further notice.
I would also like to request, in writing, that no telephone contact be made by your offices to my home or to my place of employment. If your offices attempt telephone communication with me, including but not limited to computer generated calls and calls or correspondence sent to or with any third parties, it will be considered harassment and I will have no choice but to file suit. All future communications with me MUST be done in writing and sent to the address noted in this letter by USPS.
