- Telemarketer TormentorI've received three calls from this number; a computer dialing service left me a message using my name which was obviously pulled from a database so their system could "personalize" the call. I've called it back twice. The first time was about 6pm and it went to a recording that said "The business office is closed. Call back...blah blah blah...". The next time I called during business hours and Jose answered the phone with the greeting "Business Office". Duh...no kidding!!! My question is what kind of "business office" is calling and leaving me messages? From looking at the other posts here, I suspect it is some sort of band of "debt collection" gypsies. That really bugs me now, because I'm not delinquent to anyone. Beware of a potential scam...these people may have bought or stolen personal records from some business (or medical organizations) and are trying to use those to extort invalid obligation payments from you. Insiders with access to business account records can easily make an electronic copy and sell them to criminal predators who in turn attempt to profit via unscrupulous means.

- ait is a hospital billing department. in my case they had my account in error because their system sucks, so when you pay the bill online they still try to get you to believe it didn't go through.
luckily i kept all my receipts and bank statements.- Caller: "business office" - unidentified company

- AveryIt's not a scam. It's a billing office for hospitals. It's not collections, either. They've only called me to set up payment plans, let me know insurance went through, etc. No worries.
Just don't talk to Doug. He's a JERK. I was returning a call and asked for the lady who had left me the message... He wouldn't transfer me to her, said she wasn't in, so whatever. No big whoop. However, he put me on hold at one point and my husband asked me if the lady was there, so I told him Doug had stated she wasn't in. All of a sudden, Doug goes, in a very rude and snotty tone, 'I double checked twice! She's NOT HERE. I can hear you when you're on hold, so don't..., at which point I hung up on him. :)- Caller: Alegent Health Billing Office

- Being harrassed byThis THE BENEFITS OFFICE has called about a "balance" that is owed to an emergency room from back in Oct 2010. Have contacted the hospital concerned in person and am told that I do not owe them anything. Yet this "office" wants me to give them my ins info or have me call my ins company to see why it has not been paid. Since the hospital says I owe them nothing, I have no reason to waste my time calling ins companies. This "office" needs to get their act together with the hospital, if in fact they are who they say they are.

- midwest replies to debtorHey Debtor, how about just sticking to the facts of the call and keeping the personal lectures for a chat website somewhere.
- BananaThese people are rude and give you no reason as to why they are calling or why they need your information.

If you scroll down to the very bottom of the above webpage, you'll see the number in question. I'm having a baby soon, and my doc's secretary said I'd be receiving a call to set up a payment schedule; I assume that's what the call is about. It's possible this company also does bill collection, but I can't say that for sure.- Caller: MedWest

- Irene V. Crain/Kenneth R. CrainGetting calls from this number, and when I answer, no one talks
- Anonymous| 2 replies866-213-7755 originates from Gadsden, Alabama, and is a hospital bill collection service. I actually got a live person on line when I answered the third call, he gave me a call-back number which I did call and got the same person, and then looked up that phone number online. We started getting these calls about 2 weeks after receipt of the hospital bill (which has been paid). I called my real hospital who said they do use a service that is supposed to help people set up a payment plan. The collection service could not name my hospital.

I looked at my local hospital's website and the number showed up under the billing statements section http://www.westcare.org/patients_visitors/bil ... nformation.aspx
