BBB gives them a paid accredited A+ with 310 complaints and 53 negative reviews and 1 obviously paid for positive review (BBB removed 27 complaints and 20 negative reviews, I wonder how much that cost?) as of 10/28/19:  http://www.bbb.org/central-texas/business-rev ... ustin-tx-32098/

This CNN story has complete details including how they bribed government officials:  http://money.cnn.com/interactive/pf/debt-collector/linebarger-history/

And the list goes on and on.

Note that if they are collecting anything other than consumer debt, such as taxes, tickets, fines, etc., they are not required to follow the FDCPA.  Also note that they have a habit of suing people, not serving them properly, and getting a default judgement.  This is because they routinely lie to the court under oath (perjury) about the service.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Read up on your rights here and also make a complaint at this government site:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.
List of State AG’s offices:   https://800notes.com/faq/attorney-general

Since they are attorneys, file a complaint with the Texas Bar Association as well as your own state Bar Association:

They suspended my license in Florida. They cant send the cops to you but they sure can do something. They suspended my license for a court fee from 15 years ago that I didn't even know about. In florida this is both legal and state supported as the state sends their debts to these "people" and then supports them by suspending people licenses to assist in enforcement. I am already in poverty, this has destroyed my life and I have no recourse nor can I pay the debt because I was already struggling as a single father to make ends meet.
