    laughable
if you or someone gets a call from this number be prepared for a bunch of lies.  Its high pressure collections after the statue of limitations has passed.  They only have debt accounts if the statue of limitations has passed.  Never admit that you owe the debt, agree to payments or in any other way admit that you owe them and will pay them.  If you do that the statue of limitations starts over.  Then they can sue you for the debt.  So they will lie lie lie to get you to admit in anyway you owe the debt so they can sue you.  Just fyi.  Laugh at these people and ask for a mailing address then write a letter telling them they can no longer contact you.  Again don't ever in anyway say you owe the debt.

I got several harassing calls from this exact number and given a case DRXXXX.  Not only are they saying they are a prosecutor, but also a consulting office and it's an urgent matter to take me to court, or else I will be served by a sheriff.  They also are calling my work and telling my receptionist that I "robbed a bank", and "needs to be reported to Child Protective Services because she is a child abuser".  My work has told them to stop calling and yet they continue.  PLEASE HELP ME FIND THESE PEOPLE. They also reference my new address in the voicemails.

One of the harassing calls came from what appears to be a wireless number: 501-574-5923

    Hi,

Recev'd a call from (813) 379-6870 representing a Law Firm called R&j Consulting Firm, claiming they have a legal urgent matter  and they needed my immediate  attention and provided a call back #  (866) 252-3492 to call ASAP.
I called back and  the representative stated my  first name last name address and the last 4 of my Ssn saying that I have an open balance with a vendor that I needed to pay ASAP otherwise they will sue  me for the balance and court fees and should receive a court date in the mail.
Now is this a scam ?
    Thanks

JJ, and everyone else, this is a total scam! Do not give them any money or information. The exact same thing happened to my husband. They even went as far as to send a letter trying to make it look as legit as      possible.I called the FTC, gave them the # and she said it was a scam. She told me to file a complaint with the FTC and file a police report which I did. Haven't heard from these people since. The people I dealt with at R & J Consulting firm were Shawn Bradley and James Porter, they claim to be attorneys, they are not. The address they give is a UPS store. The people that call you with a case # are calling from a landline. Do not fall for this!

They started calling us over two years ago, saying we it was an "urgent legal matter." I did a bit of research, found out which "debt" they calling about, and had to laugh. They wanted money for overdue payments on a vehicle we had sold over five earlier. Idiots. Guess they don't understand you can't sell a vehicle that's not paid off.

They then called my sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and scared the crud out of my mother-in-law because they told her we were going to take our house.

These people are scum. They are scammers of the worst sort, and anyone who actually pays them is just naive.

By the way, they CANNOT sue for a bill which is past the statute of limitations. From every indication, they never file a law suit because they know they can't. I mean, really, they first called us over two years ago and they have yet to file a suit.

    Blood-sucking piles of crap.

My sister in law just texted me and said I needed to call asap to these legal people who want to serve me papers for a debt that I owe.  I have had any and all past debts paid for several years.  Granted if you ever do settlement debts, sometimes that amount that they took off or late fees they took off for you  like it was a favor.  They can turn around a sell off your paper debt for pennies to   what the key is    Ignore them or fax them a paper showing the debt was paid in full.  The letter I have  to prove payment is getting pretty worn out.
Your better off to ignore, they just sell to the next person and the next and so on and so on.  True story....DO NOT ADMIT TO OWING ANYTHING  AT ALL!!!  It can start the clock ticking for  more years.  I have told family members to ignore calls they do not recognize.

How would a scam get that much info. For so many people ? I think a lot of you guys are in denial of the debts you have , I've looked into it pretty well , and found a lot of info stating this isn't a scam , so maybe you guys should do the same , before this bites you guys in the butt. Me personally , it feels good not to have something weighing over my head . And think of it this way don't you think if it was a "scam" this firm would have been shut down long ago? Come on people stop being in denial and start taking care of your problems.

Haha you know what's a lame story Is that a "ADULT" can't admit to their wrong doings and instead of  taking care of them , you all point the finger at someone else like a child . I don't care if any one of you on here believe me. I'm just gonna sit back and laugh because all of you who claims this is a "scam" are gonna be continuasly bothered with this debt for the rest of your life until you grow up, and take care of your [***] . And I will be relaxing not having to worry about my past coming to haunt me =) because like a real "adult" I took care of business .

Hahaha you deadbeats will never get it .
Idk bout you but I don't give just anyone my social so if someone has that info amungst a lot more of personal info they obviously not just someone off the streets .
First of all . And second of all , if banks are selling your bank info , why in the world would you do business with them ??? Lmao. Think about it . But  I'm gonna sit here and try and convince children stuck in a adults body that they should take care of their problems . It doesn't effect me at all . It's up to you if you want something weighing over your head keeping you from progressing in life because you are not trustworthy to take care of your obligations .

    LOOK IT UP .

    2. / 3. You are untrustworthy to pay back the money you took from someone else.and instead of admitting it and getting it tooken care of you continue to point the finger at the firms that are doing there jobs , calling them "scams"  because you are a delinquent , who can not be a honest human being and take care of their obligations.

Now I do have a life and obligations I must tend to , so goodbye and Goodluck

Laughing... you remind me of Richard Nixon's "I'm NOT a CROOK" ... guess what? He lied.
Whether you're lying or just magnificently IGNORANT...or BOTH is still TBD, but 99.9% of the votes are already in.
