I received a call from the same group, this time their number was 407-347-2142.  Pour creature who called, when I asked her if she knew who she really worked for stated, it was Jesus Christ (this after stating it was R&J).  The call was fishing for my spouse by way of her maiden name... We've been married for nearly ten years and whatever issue that could possibly be claimed has by now since expired.  My wife for a while actually worked for such an office - it operates on promises and pain, and no real pay, only commission percentages of what can be squeezed by those not familiar enough with the law.

My suggestion was read her bible checking all the references to mammon.  Specifically I was thinking of http://biblehub.com/matthew/6-24.htm tho many other reference to the god of money would apply

They called my mom for a debt over 20 years old and she paid it for me....with her credit card....is this place a scam?

They said I owe on a bill from 2002 it's July 2014 is this real or fake?? They said I was summons to go to court they also used the 718-705-0624

They say that I have to paid a debt that i owe. and i been making payment every month, just to find out it was a fraud. I need help in locating this business on newport in cali.

If its a scam why haven't the BBB or Attorney generals done ANYTHING about it?? If this large amount of people have been reporting them for however long they've been in business, why haven't they been shut down yet??

The BBB isn't a law enforcement office, they can not do anything bottom line. AG's and law enforcement, the FTC and/or the FBI has to locate them first. They can spoof a number, and use til H.E. double toothpicks freezes over cause they move around. Just like changing numbers the way the CCS does. They all keep on the move, hard to track. That's what criminals do.  Sooner or later karma catch's up with them.  Law Enforcement also needs the complaints filed, same as AG's do.   Its not going to magically happen overnight. This isn't CSI on TV where they get things solved in a hour or two.

This consulting firm called me and how about I was taken to court by this company.  I live in North Carolina.  This was so embarrassing.  They had a summons come to my house.  This was an old debt that I closed 13 years ago.  Yes a company bought this debt for pennies on a dollar.  Now I have to pay this debt.

Now you can name the company AND give the court information so no one else has this problem.  Replying to a year old thread???  Amazing how you just happened to find this site!!

They call telling me that they was gonna take me to court and all. So I set up a plan with them. After 700 dollar wasted I call and check and goggle map them no where to be found. I drive around that area and spotted that building and I saw that company located upstairs, I heard a lot of complain about this Firm. I dont know what to say but i have some research, they will open another firm located at Murrieta Hot Spring CA...

Received a urgent call today from a guy name Bill Hudson stating I have an HSBC debt from May 8, 2001-8008 and im being sued for $2942 but wanted to negotiate at 232.80 for 6 or 907 in full i told him i would do some research and call him back he stated that i have 24 hours to reply or i will be served for them to sue me for the full amount but what was odd to me is that I was still in high school and by that time Id never had a credit card he also stated that the card was given to me with a Kansas address from 2001 but to his surprise i didnt move to Kansas til 2009. Thanks for all the input now I know what to do.

My husband received a call today claiming that I owed $1400 (half of that supposedly in late fees) from 2003, but they refused to say what the debt was for. They said I was going to be sued in court and I would soon receive a summons. They said they would garnish my wages, put a lien on my property, or seize property to cover the debt. And I could even go to jail. But, of course, I could pay $700 immediately and they would "sweep it under the rug." I have NO unpaid debt on my credit report other than my currently standing bills. When my husband mentioned that my credit report is clear and that no such debt was listed, they then said they will see to it that this supposed debt is listed now.

They kept pressuring my husband to give them my SS# as well as other info, which he refused, but they did say the last four numbers and my husband confirmed. I'm not sure if this was a bad idea, so I'll be making some calls tomorrow about possible identity theft, just to be on the safe side. Just like others have mentioned, this company claimed they sent me a certified letter 45 days ago (never happened).

Thank you to those who provided links and information on how to file complaints; I will be filing a complaint. I hate that people are being scammed by these idiots. My husband was concerned over the scare tactics when he talked to them, but, thankfully, with a little research, it's clear that this company is unscrupulous.

Nothing on all three at Bizapedia, but the BBB page for R & J says sole prop. So they wouldn't need to be registered as a corporation. Certainly not a wise business choice to make, because if he gets sued and loses, then he is on the hook for the money as well.

Most likely a debt scamming operation fo some kind or another.
Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated
If they are bothering you, report them:

If they continue to bother you, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

just got a call from 339-707-3432 a male voice stating that i was going to be sued and he just wanted to give me a heads up. he said his name realy fast and said he was out of arlington Massachusettes. He said i was being sued and papers were going to be served. he knew where i worked and knew my last four digits of my SS#. he also staed that he knew my wife was a stay home mom and knew about my kids. he told me to call this number 888-863-9125 and with case number MR****. If i didnt call this number 24-48 hours papers would be served and i would be arrested. I did call the 888-863-9125 number and it went to R&J consulting. I did not talk to anyone just hung up. last i knew you couldnt be arrested for a civil issue.

Hello America, my wife received a call today from reps from this so-called collection agency ("R and J Consulting Firm") asking if anyone will be home to receive a certified letter for debt collection of a so-called bill from sprint that was sent to their collection agency for failure to pay a debt in 2009. I called the number provided and spoke with a very smooth talking and articulate Steve James (if that is his real name). Of course, he was requesting $$$$$$ for a so-called unpaid debt. I began questioning him about the debt and he got offended. "Really". That smooth, articulate person that I just mentioned; well he left the office. Steve James the BULLY takes over the call and began to make the threats: (Taking you to court; Having a deputy serve court subpenas; etc.....bla,bla,bla).  America, don't be afraid to stand your ground. Do your research and never ever, ever, ever make money transactions to companies you don't recognize, especially via telephone.     "BE SMART"
