- FIGHTING BACK! replies to Not a scamI hope one of you "obligations" is spelling and grammar. I saved you the trouble of finding the definition of SCAMMER!
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/scammer
scam (skm) Slang
n.
A fraudulent business scheme; a swindle.
tr.v. scammed, scam·ming, scams
To defraud; swindle. - Anonym replies to Not a scamCan you even read? I challenged you to prove anyone posting in this tread is a deadbeat. Instead, you try to provide me with a definition.
Second, you failed to prove anyone here is untrustworthy or failed to live up to their financial obligations.
Instead, you prove you are a functional illiterate and launch into some moronic diatribe that merely rehashed your previous unfounded allegations.
If you have obligations to tend to, please add learning to read above a fourth grade level to that list - Willow replies to Not a scamI wasn't aware that shilling was an "obligation".
Nevertheless:
1) Car paid off, early I might add
2) Business equipment paid off.
3) Business loans paid off.
4) Bills current.

Yes, run along.. your proctologist called and said your late for the appointment! - LVTAt 7:50 in the morning on 23 September 2013, I got a phone call from Jennifer Reed. She said I was being sued and they wanted to serve me papers and if I didn't call within 30 minutes the phone number 866-252-3492 that they would process my paperwork as delinquent. She gave me a file number to give to the person that I would talk to on the phone. I talked to a man named Bill Hudson who said he was with R&J consulting firm. He asked me for some information to verify that it was me that he was talking to. I don't remember what I gave him but it was probably too much Info. He then stated my name with a bogus middle name of Elmer. I said that wasn't me and he said sorry he must have the wrong person.

- Sam| 1 replyGot a call from a woman looking for my son about an unpaid phone bill from 11 years ago. She said if I didn't call this number within the hour a process server would be at my house within the hour. She said it was an attorney's office handling the case. Meanwhile, my son has always lived with me and the phone is in my name and always has been. They could not provide any address or phone number connected to this supposedly unpaid bill. They said he owed almost $700., but that they could settle the debt for $300. They said they sent him something in the mail 45 days ago about the debt. (We received nothing.) They said if I gave them my e-mail address they would send over the documents with all the information regarding the case. Unfortunately, I gave them my e-mail address. After I got off the phone, I typed this number into the computer and it came up that it's a scam. They said they were R & J Consulting Firm and gave their address as 26025 Newport Road, Ste. A-469, Menifee, CA 92584.
- Caller: R & J Consulting
- Call type: Debt collector
- SofiaWhat a scam.

- Irritated 1/2 to deathThree of our family members got a call for my son-in-law. They gave a "reference" number. Said he owed Verizon $700 from 1994, but would accept $250 if he paid immediately. SCAM! They asked for his Social Security Number and bank information. The company name is bogus: R&J Consulting. If you threaten them back and tell them you know it's a fraud and that you're filing a report, they hang up real quick!

- Cathy boulericeJust got a phone call from the number 1866 252 3492.ext 1207 (Julie star) asked if I was Cathy when I said yes they said it didn't sound like me. An they had just spoke to me the week before??? I stated it wasn't me N maybe my daughter so they left number an ext to call back. I swear when they stated who was calling they said Verizon an needed to close there files?? Imagine my surprise when my daughter called back an it said they were r an h consulting firm on there machine? So glad she googled them first!!
- Caller: R an J consulting
- Jackie CorreiaThis and another number called and threaten to get a warrant and arrest me for not giving my information!
- Caller: R&J

- Ummm| 1 replyThis is a legit ament company, people just report this number because they don't want to pay their bills, I owed verizon and they had all info that I owed correct. Do some more research cause when you owe places they can and will sell it to outside collection agencies before it hits your credit. Obviously attorney generals are incorrect. They will take you to court. If your worried about giving info have them give you the last 4 of social in file. I did. Reason why numbers are different is because there are several people that work there. I know because I used to work for R&J consulting. Pay your bills and you won't have collection agencies calling you
- UmmmLol I paid my debt then asked if they were hiring
- Anonym replies to SamThey did the same [***] to me today! "Suppose to be a $2,000.00 bill from cingular, who is now sprint. Ester also states that the bill is from 2006 and she would settle for $300.00.
- Elspeth replies to UmmmNope - you're just another shill for a scam outfit. People get calls all the time about bills they DON'T owe. Per the FDCPA, no one should pay any caller who refuses to MAIL proof of debt/proof they can collect. BTW, it's a federal offence to pretend to be a law office - which these characters have done. "Obviously attorney generals are incorrect". NOPE! They eat scammers like you for breakfast! Thanks for playing!
- Marie Dahlgren| 1 replyReceived a call May 23, 2014 from this number looking for my daughter. They said they were a consulting firm R&J Consulting and said my daughter had one hour to call or they were coming to get her to file a civil lawsuit. They got me very upset and led me to believe they were going to put my daughter in jail. I gave the message to my daughter and she handled the fraudulent matter. However, they called again May 24, 2014 and a guy that had a deep voice and slurred like he was on drugs as me if I can "receive legal documents" at my home. I yelled and told him clearly DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER EVER AGAIN, OR I'M REPORTING IT TO MY POLICE DEPARTMENT, CALIFORNIA BBB, FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION AND ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE. He hung up immediately.

Mall Rat/Kitchen Table debt scammer according to Google Street view. Looks like a UPS store's involved.- Caller: Informational post
- Almost Got Me| 1 replyI got a call from first 347-298-5411 saying I was being sued and needed to contact R & J consulting they gave me a case number of BR2374 and told me to call 855-366-5231 when I called they verified info including my current and last 3 address and knew the first 5 of my social after I told them the last 4. they said sprint was suing me for a debt for 2002. said they sent me letters that I never received. but when they asked for my credit card to pay the debt I told them I would not do that over the phone. I googled their name and then their address their website looks good but the address is for a UPS store. tried calling the number on their website and it does not receive incoming calls. check BBB under their name and found 5 complaints and finally found this site and others reporting them as a scam. Thank goodness for the internet and sites like this and thank goodness I did not give them my credit card info. Ripoffs do seem to be getting more sophisticated these days. sounding so official and real. Never give a credit card on the phone is my motto. and always check up on who is calling you before allowing yourself to be taken to the proverbial cleaners.

- Almost Got taken replies to Almost Got MeI also check the statute of limitations for debt collections in Calif where they called from it is 4 years and in my home state it is 5 years I wish I knew this before verifying my info with them. now they know it is correct and can share the info with other scammers still glad I did not give out my credit card info. the person who called even told me a story of a woman who was fearful of them being scammers and offered me an opportunity to talk to his supervisor several times. How do people like this get so much info about you. I know my address is listed on the net in several ares as I do own a business but my social is not on public display. I did have an account with sprint many years ago but as far as I know it was already paid in full.
