It is legitimate.  It is TD.

Just received this same message. Very disconcerting.

It is a scam. Call your bank to make sure.

This  number is scam ‭+1 (866) 255-3409‬. They Called me many times and did not leave a message . TD always leaves messages that’s my experience last 35 years with TD . I think they are phishing to get you in line and ask your important ID . I just blocked them .

Feb 2019 - Scam...confirmed with TD, this isn't them, this is a scam.

I had a message on my cell from this number, purporting to be from TD Canada Trust and that I needed to call them back. They included a reference number as well. I suspected a scam so I called the main office of TD and told them and they said this is NOT one of their numbers. They checked my accounts and said all was fine and that I should block this number as it's obviously a scam. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER BACK!

This number is legit. They called me today and I answered and it was TD Canada Trust because I was a couple weeks late for my Line Of Credit payment.
You people have to realize that because these calls come from a call center that the number that shows up on caller ID isnt actually the number the people are calling from because they are a call center. Call centers use a lot of different numbers which pop up automatically when other lines are busy. SO YES AT TIMES THIS NUMBER COULD BE A SCAM BUT OTHER TIMES THIS NUMBER CAN ACTUALLY BE LEGIT!!
this is how call centers operate and I find it funny that no one on here out of over 100 people know this!!
So just cuz one person gets a call from this number and its legit, the next person that gets a call from this number could be a scam.
If your unsure dont give them any info and call your branch or the number on the back or your credit or debit card, this way you know for sure is secure!

I have been receiving calls 3 -5 times a day. They said that they're call from TD and leave a reference number. To all those who say the number is legit. It is!! But scammers now spoof legit numbers. Always contact your bank!!!

And we are seeing the exact same thing 14 years later .Appear to be phishing for bank details. Don't talk to them , or call back . Call TD on the number they put on your invoice /statement if you are concerned

I called TD after a message to call this number was left on my voicemail. I do not owe any late payments. They had no record of anyone from TD calling me. Legit or not I don't plan on calling back.
