- Bill in Denver| 2 repliesCalled the number and asked for their address. E 136 65th street in Draper, Utah 84020. Wonder if they give the same address to the next caller. I asked for the direct phone number and she "couldn't find it at her desk"
- Weary replies to Bill in DenverI received this letter today. The address they gave you is invalid there is no 65th Street in Draper, Utah. I reported them to the FTC and to the USPS as scam mail.
- Dave in Denver| 3 repliesGot this same letter yesterday, Saturday March 26, 2011 so I called the 1-866-259-0031. I waited on hold about 10 minuts when a lady finally answered, she was very nice, I gave her the "R" number, she new my name and address then. Referenced a re-fi loan in 2005 asked if any of my loans had ever been sold to a different lender I told her yes she then said she didn't need to go any futher with the questions. She said thousands of people are being over charged because of mistakes after a mortgage sells and that they would do an audit for the $149.00 and if nothing was found I would get my money back, if they did find something (ha ha) I would be getting my refund. She answered my questions and kept telling me she was going to read me a disclosure statement, I continued to tell her this sounded like a scam, she assured me it wasn't. She also said I could call her direct anytime through the audit process, she also said a few things that were really off the wall. She then asked me what card I was going to put this on and ask me for my email address to forward me the disclosure statement (never did read it to me) along with some other documents. I told her to give me her direct number and I would give her my email address, she did give me her number I did give her my email address. I told her I would go over the documents Sunday and get back with her Monday. Nothing in my email Sunday so I decided to google the number and look at all this I found. BAD - BAD - BAD I did try her direct number 1-877-576-5561 ext. 5140 it was her on the greeting her name was Krichelle and she said she was with "Accelerated Equity and Development". I am going to now turn this over to a local new channel and hopfully the Attorney generals department. Thank God for Google

In this day and age do they really think the majority wont GOOGLE them? Total idiots. I just feel for those unfortunate enough not to have internet access and actually fall for this scam.
For all of you that did get this, please check on elderly relatives and friends to help prevent them from getting scammed.

- aeroman in oklahoma replies to Brianyes you are correct. today was my day to get same letter. seriously thought at first that could be legit. but have learned that in this age of the cheaters and dishonesty that abounds. ~ooh the website they promote looks really official, too! plus when you go to the site it says in one of the paragraphs: "Coaching Services
Through our personal coaching services, consumers are learning ways to excel financially
and avoid costly financial decisions. " well, anybody with a 5th grade education should know that excel is a software from Microsoft. what they mean is accell "to increase the speed of" I'm always very skeptical of companies that are illiterate. geez..glad i found this site--it was very first hit on search engine of about 8-10 pages! so they are probably krud. thanks all for the intel. - MUICHEI received a letter from ACT TM, with a mortgage audit expiration date and property eligibility listing number: R302085493. The letter went on, as many of you have already experienced, that via city records I may have been overcharged on my mortgage loan. The phone number: 866-259-0031 was given as a callback . Again, the letter was very plain looking. It lacked a real business header. I searched the web and found you guys and am very greatful. How do we stop these people from sending their flim-flam letters, and taking advantage of innocent people????
- rightideawrongapproach| 1 replyA similar letter was sent to my wife. I actually use audits to challenge the banks on the houses that I buy. Almost every mortgage has faults and the bank can be fined a few hundred dollars for each infraction. I also run a securitization report which shows how a mortgage is actually paid off when the banks sells the promissory note. This is how I win against the banks, but that costs more than $149. Audits are one key in how we reduced the principal balance on our house by 72%. Instead of going into foreclosure we now have huge equity and an interest rate of 3% over 40 years.
Educate yourself, the fraud that banks have committed is far greater than what this letter tries to do.- Caller: expected scam
- NJHomeownerReceived the same letter here in Wayne NJ today. Listing #'s now are with an S. Didnt call the number, thank goodness for Google. And:rightideawrongapproach must work for them.

- anonymous replies to gotmesecure.utah.gov does not monitor businesses. The state of Utah publishes licensing info on secure.utah.gov so anyone can check up on who is and who isn't. If anyone complains about a business, the state may investigate that business but no state monitors businesses routinely to keep them on the straight and narrow.
The mere existence of a business license does not imply "good standings." All it means is the state of Utah has collected a fee for which the business is allowed to practice business in the state. All businesses, great and solidly rotten ones, are required to be licensed which earns revenue for the state; "good standings" has nothing to do with it. Interested readers can look up Utah business licensees here https://secure.utah.gov/bes/action
I can't quite make up my mind if you're a shill; if you are, you're very good at it.
