Phone number that called me was 501-299-0113 - related to the number in a different thread 866-883-2332
Left VM - Verizon marked it as Potential Spam - regular person on the phone " (Brenda Nelson) I'm calling in reference to your federal student loan. I need to discuss your repayment options, there have been new changes that have taken effect recently..." Call back number 866-303-9889 - Gave me a reference number. 1. I'm in school and am currently deferred - so I have no payments. 2. I logged into my loan account online and no notice had been given. 3. This person did not reference the name of the company that oversees this account. Definitely spam!!

I received the same message, she never referred to me by name and did not mention the name of my student loan servicer- SPAM

I got the EXACT SAME message.

Also got a call from "Brenda Nelson". Thought it sounded suspicious and googled the phone number and found this thread. Gave me a reference number as well. Didn't mention my loan servicer and I called them directly and they said there were no changes with my account.

Received the same call, this is CLEARLY a scam, DO NOT provide them with ANY personal information, PERIOD!

Same here. Call from “Brenda Nelson” who also sounds exactly like “Amy Nelson” from a different number. I have not had a federal student loan in over 20 yrs. total spam. I don’t even answer the phone.

I received a call from Brenda saying she wanted to talk to me about repayment options on my federal student loan as there has been some recent changes.  She gave me a reference number, but she did not have my name and she did not say who she was calling from.  My phone never rang, it was just the voicemail.

Same call for me...Brenda Nelson calling about my student loan.  I haven’t had student loan debt since 1999.  SPAM

Same message from Brenda Nelson & reference number.  I've never had a student loan & googled this as well.  Brenda says her call back number is 866-303-9889.  The number on my caller ID was 725-208-1004 from Laughlin, NV.  At&t didn't identify it as possible spam, but it sounds like it is spam.

Received a voicemail from Brenda Nelson about changes to my Federal Student Loan. Reference number 330005. She didn't mention my. Ame once. Also I do not have a student loan. Googled the phone number and found this thread just like a few others on here.
Scammers are getting savvy with their recordings.

"Brenda Nelson" called my son for repayment on his student FAFSA loan. I called back it was sketchy sounding. Still curious I pressed #2 (for loans under $10k) and there was a recorded message that I didn't qualify for any of their services and I'd be removed from their calling list and the line cut off. Even more curious on this scam, I called back and pressed #3 (loans over $20k) and I was transferred to some young sounding guy driving in his car with the windows down. When I said "I'm sorry, I can't hear you. You sound like you are in a submarine." and then he hung up. Yeah - total scam. I knew it was a scam because FAFSA doesn't actually give the loan. Anyway...scammers.

Same message, same "Brenda Nelson" and same exact reference number as you. Definite scam as I paid off my loans over 10 years ago.

Original call came from 443-641-6416 left a message saying "Yes this is Brenda Nelson I'm calling in reference to your federal student loan. I need to discuss your repayment options with some new changes that have taken effect recently so be sure to give me a call back my number is 866-303-9889 and I'm going to go ahead and give you a reference number if you would have this handy when you call back it just make things a lot easier. That reference number is 330005" I saw that this was the same reference number given to others that have posted. I have never had student loans. I did not return the call.
