- ABCDDitto re: a voicemail from Brenda Nelson about changes to my Federal Student Loan. I'm copying/pasting the voicemail for my email transcribes them. "Yes this is Brenda Nelson I'm calling in reference to your federal student loan. I need to discuss your repayment options with the new changes that have taken effect recently so if you could be sure to give me a call back my number is 866-303-9889 and I'm gonna go ahead and give you a reference number if you would have this handy when you call back it just makes things a lot easier. That reference number is 330005. Thank you." As I do have a student loan, I contacted them immediately and of course, there is no one working there with this name! Then, I Googled the phone number and found this thread. Thank you all for posting your comments.

- Jenny H replies to EI just got the exact same message today, 06/18/19. I am likewise in school and have a deferment agreement in place. Didn't even call back in case of phone call charges or some other such issue.
- KD replies to EI received the exact same voice mail requesting I call the 866 number back. . I don’t even have any student loans. I didn’t bother to call back. The caller ID number 920-547-2184. No doubt in my mind that this is a scam.

- A scam robo call replies to AnonymI received the same message from Brenda Nelson, a warm sounding professional voice. I called back out of curiosity. Being 74 years old I doubted the legitimacy of the call. If you are a student, press one; if you have loans under $10,000 or if you have loans over $10,000, press 3. Onward, if I had no student loans I would be removed from their lists and never contacted again and would not be eligible for their services in the future. Breaks my heart! Just another scam trying to use a friendly, concerned voice. All this is so tiring. No chance to talk with a human.
- Renée replies to EJust got a call from her too, was suspicious. Thank you for posting so I could confirm my suspicions. 😉
