These scumbags just called me at 8:33pm EST.

Same thing as everyone else. Just started yesterday (4/9) Got on line to see who the heck this company was after I returned the call. However the call was immediately forwarded to a silent line. Nothing happened, so I hung up and got on line to check 'em out.

This is a new number than your guy's.  It's 866-498-8299, same name of company "Tacar".  I filed for bankruptcy two years ago and would've thought that all those who wanted their money from me would've contacted me by now.   They've been calling me every day for the past two weeks now.  Only THIS time the recording says "Please call back between 8am-5pm Eastern Standard time to discuss a VERY IMPORTANT MATTER."  If it were so IMPORTANT a call wouldn't a PERSON be on the other side of the phone and not just some message?  Whatever!

I got a call from them today - hung up and they called me back.  I spoke to them again, hung up, and they have called me back at least 4 times - I just answered the phone & hung up in the same breath.  I too declared bankruptcy, they tried to tell me it wasn't included in that.  The funny thing (OK, one of many) was at first they said I had a charge from Shop at Home for an amount, rather low.  Then, after I was resistent, they said I also had a few more charges from another Shopping network.  Since I use both of them, I thought it might be legit.  But I just couldn't bring myself to give them money, and for some insane reason actually tried to explain why.  They went off on how if they were going to scam me it would be for a bigger amount, and they wouldn't risk a million dollar license to defraud me.  I spoke to three different people, all because I had serious questions about the debt.  They all sounded like they were from India.  The third person I spoke to told me his name was George  Blake and said I could call him at 877-264-4292.  At first, he started to give me an 866 number but then told me he was going to give me his direct number, which is the 877 number I listed above.  There were so many things about this that almost seemed legit, and yet the fact that they wouldn't let me call them with a payment when I told them I got paid (he was so persistent, saying he could cut me a deal and eliminate some fees), but only if I gave hime my payment information (postdated) right on that phone call.

If they call again, what should I do?  I have emailed my attorney, but I don't know exactly how to make this stop!

Same here, numerous calls every each 2 weeks, recorded request to call back 866-408-8299. DO NOT DO THAT. This is a fake. Go to https://www.donotcall.gov/ and file a complaint, every time. Should you expect any collection calls, lookup this on the web as well to read about legitimate practices.

Thank you Henry.  I finally found their website, emailed them letting them know that I knew my debts had been discharged (I called my lawyer to double check my facts)and the items that they were talking about were not on my credit report as they had in fact stated.  The website (directing you to the contact page that I used) is http://www.takhargroup.com/contact.htm.  I emailed the 2 addresses at the bottom to let them know I would contact the press if I got even one more call.  I suggest anyone else who hears from them do the same.

The kicker?  Someone sounding remarkably like the George Blake in my first email is calling my parents saying he is from Dish Network & has tried to get her payment # out of her (which Dish has already).  Beware - these people are persistent.  They have already got a lot of your info (likely from tracking cookies) and just need a little more.

Someone named Dustin Watson from Takhar Group saying call regarding an important matter referencing file TC5042.  I also have good credit and no past due bills.  It looks like a scam and think our tele companies should investigate or give clients a way to block unwanted calls. They should be doing more about this as really annoying. Do NOT call these idiots back.  You could turn off your voice mail for some time and see if they quit as their calls will not be answered and maybe they'll give up.  It means you can't get your messages, but may be worth it for a time.  If you have caller ID, you can still see who called you if a number racks up.

Just call them back, and wait for them to answer, don't leave a message. Give them your phone number, not ever your name, if they ask you to verify your name just say "no thats not me, so remove me from your list" even if they do give you the right name, and they will remove you!!!

I too get the call back # of 1-866-329-3564, i called back and was on hold for 45 minutes.  I have no idea who these people are.  How can i end these calls?

i too have just recieved a phone call from that number saying that they are from the tachar group of companies trying to get in touch with me to make a descision on my behalf to call them back....what do these people want and what do they do?

I got a call from a whitheld number and when I asked for information I was Given the name Gene Smith and the number 1-866-329-3750 to call back and I was told a financal claim ref # 10345688

I got a phone call from them today, didn't tell me anything on my voicemail except that if I didn't return their call by 5pm est, that a decision would be made on "a" file without my input.  No idea what file they are talking about, didn't say they were a debt collector, didn't even leave me a name or ref number.  I called back several times and all I got was the "general voicemail box."  I left them a crappy msg and now i await their return call.

I keep getting calls from 866-329-3750. When they leave a message, it is: "Amy! Amy! This is John. I need you to call me at 866-329-3750."  His tone of voice is very rude and hateful, like I had slapped his mother or something!

First of all, I do not know a "John" that would call my home with such a hateful attitude!

I called the number and could not make out what the name of the company was so I called my mom and gave her the number. She called and got "John" and boy did he bite off more than he could chew with her. She asked him to spell the name of his company becasue she had difficulty understanding his thick Middle-Eastern accent. He demanded that she give him her name first, stating very rudely that he could not help her if she refused to furnish him with her information. Wrong move! She very rudely informed him that she would not give him ANY information until she knew who she what company he represented. He caved and spelled the name for her. She had already pulled the number up online so she knew that it was a scam and a hoax.

She the asked for his employee ID number, which he refused. She demanded to speak with his supervisor. He refused. She then asked for the CEO of his company and he hung up on her.

Not to be outdone, she called him back and informed him that hse was aware of the scams the he and his company were involved in to include fraud and identity theft practices. She also informed him that she is a Certified private investigator and that it is just a matter of time before she would be knocking on his door with the law in tow! He hung up on her again.

they never leave a message
they call about once a day
its quite annoying and im  just going to block the number

I live in PR and also getting thse calls. They don't leave a message and when I call Back It doesn't go thru.  Fortunately I looked it up and you guys came out and I finally understand.  They called me once before saying I had a debt and had to give them a credit card number and of course I didn't.  Instead I told them to call me at a certian time and never answer the phone again.  They call twice a week but I don't pay attention to them anymore.

dang verison i've gotten about like 5 different calls from "people" and when i answer them it's just music playing..wtf? so i only answered each number once and didnt say anything..but yeah i'd really like it to stop haha
