They are now using 866-408-8299. Same type of recorded message from a woman. "This is the Tacar(sp) Group. We require a call back now on an important matter beteween the hours of ..." and I just hung up.

Everyones best bet is to file a complaint with their States' AG consumers affairs office and to contact their US senators and representatives. They can pass it on to the US A.G.

I did some research and uncovered THEIR address, e-mail and actual phone number:  They are a bunch of Sikh Indians (i.e. as in India) located in in Canada.  This is who they go by as a business:

The so-called Co. President is one Hardy Takhar - it seems he may also - or really - be called Hardy Singh (I think this is his defunct myspace page - with picture! http://www.myspace.com/403730678  why id he using two names?  What is that a hallmark of?

Interestingly, a Hardy Takhar is always posting vitriolic left-wing comments on webpages such as CNN.  For an Indian from Canada, if this is indeed him, this one is inappropriate and disturbing: "Hardy Takhar (February 4th, 2009 1:09 pm ET) 'Someone needs to declare open season on this bimbo'"  Here he was talking about Sarah Palin.  Is this an incitement to violence?  There are numerous other such comments.

I am a payroll manager and they keep leaving automated messages that I have to call them back - just that message.  I don't have time to play games with collections companies calling about my employees.  I tried calling back once and was given the on hold run around by some guy who sounded like he was in India.  Not impressed.

i to have gotten these call and i called to find out what it pertains to and same as u does not pertain to me i even gave them number to call to get who they wanted and yet i still get calls. I called them again tonight and got hung up on 2 x when i tried to tell them i do not appreciate them calling.they said my number was not in thier system and i said well i have the phone message recorded so i can prove they called. Im reporting them to attorney generals office. that was completely out of line hanging up on me i was not rude or anything.

This TAKAR GROUP has been calling and my wife asked what it is and they say they have to talk to me and when I got on the phone they didn"t talk to me or say anything.  What's up with that?  We do have debt and we are paying on them one by one until they are paid.  We have had deaths in the family and this household.  Their income died with them and my wife and I are doing our best to keep up the house and what we owe.  These people say nothing.  So they need to leave us alone!

They keep harassing me. I have paid receipts for what they are trying to say I owe! I am having an attorney handle them.

I have been receiving phone calls from a company from Las Vegas, NV since August2010, every week, sometimes several times per day.  They indicate I've won millions of dollars and only need to pay for the shipping to have a courier deliver the money to my home.  I have refused to provide any personal, banking or residential details.  Last week the male caller told me he'd come to my home address (which he quoted) in person and force me to suck his xxxx for all the trouble I've caused him.  Then I'd have to pay the shipping costs before he'd leave. I'll be happy to answer the door with a loaded shotgun.  If he crosses the threshold, he won't leave without an ambulance.  I've had enough months ago and live in fear daily.  Now....today a call came from the Takhar Group demanding that I call them back at once...no number provided and we don't have caller id.  So, I've used the *69 feature with Verizon to determine the number who called our number.  It's 800-620-0371, which does not appear to be the same number as others have reported here.  There was not an account number or file number or reason to return their call provided.  And it was a pre-recorded voicemail.  Most of the callers have had a Middle-Eastern or Asian accent with a thick dialect making them very difficult to understand.  The caller today sounded like a Caucasian male.  I have no idea how they've located our phone number, determined we've entered a sweepstakes, won a huge monetary prize, need to repay them for time and suffering, when they are inflicting the crime and punishment.  Best of luck to everyone.  I, too, would like to meet these persons face to face.  

I'm contacting the BBB, FBI and local law enforcement.  Enough already!!

I have been getting the same message about needing to contact them regarding an important matter. It is usually the same man's voice one time and the same woman's voice another time. They are always very rude in their tone. They say they are open until 7:00pm. I'm so sick of this. I don't have any debts. They call at 4:36 am and 2:02 pm on the dot every day. I feel so harrassed.

I got a call from a machine, and was asked to urgently call 1-800-620-0371. I did and a lady asked me if this "X" person lived here, I said no, mine is a new number. So she said she'll have my number removed from the list.

I asked what was this Takhar Group about, se would not tell me ... I insisted, and she said:
-  "why do you want to know"? Do you know this "X" person?
- No, but you keep calling my number, so I want to know what this is about?
- she said: ...if you are not this X person, then have a good day, and hung up ...

Just got a call from the Takhar Group with a recorded message. The Caller ID was 800-621-0371. It was a caucasian man's voice directing me to immediately return their call directly or contact them via their website: takhar.com. I am so glad I found this website so I can see all their other spoof numbers.

Since it's right around Christmas time, when the phone rang with a random 800 number, I thought it might have been one of the reputable companies I have placed orders with regarding packages or deliveries. No idea how these jerks got my cell phone number. It's private and unlisted -- they must just make random calls.

I, too, am on all of the Do Not Call registries, which I think helps a lot. For a year, I got calls from another company claiming to be a law firm looking for a "Christine Carlson." I called them dozens of times telling them they had the wrong person and the wrong number. Finally, they quit when I called three times in one day and spoke to three different people. Apparently it was a debt agency.

I keep getting calls from this Tacar group who insists that I call them back and when I did they asked for someone who doest even live here, when I tried to explain they very rudely said " Sir I do not want your family history,does this woman live there?" I said ,,well I wont say what I said, because I lost it with these miscreants,

I am getting these calls almost daily. I finally gave in and called them back and talked to someone over the matter. The lady I spoke too informed me that they had a file on me for some books I had ordered from double day or something. I proceded on with the conversation. I finally was able to let her know I never ordered any books nore have I recieved any books, she then told me she was going to do an investigation so I told her to go ahead. I am now getting calls again concerning the same thing. I Just called them back once more. There number was showing up on my cell as +8664415558, so I looked them up online and found a number to call without the + in front of it. I talked to a man and he told me the same thing pretty much as the first lady did. He told me it was going to go onto my credit and show up as bad credit, I finally got fed up and told him to go ahead and place it there. I am so tired, how can someone get protection against a claim like that if it is not theirs? Bull crap is what it is, aggervating as hell.

i've received calls from 800 620 0371 wanting me to call 866 408 8299, quite a few times on my cell.  I'm thankful I have unlimited minutes.  I don't understand these calls or what is said about this number in these comments.  If it is a scam and a scare tactic, then it's working.  I don't know why they want my information, they don't do their research very well, cause mine stinks.  This Tahkar Group has a fancy web site, and for people in debt like my self, due to loss of employment of just plain stupidity in trusting mankind, this isn't fair for people to do this type of thing.  With todays economy, we all are looking for some hope and faith that we actually can trust mankind again.
