"Hi, this is Preston Walker with the Tacar Group.  blah blah blah, please call me back so we can discuss the file in our office"...I've been getting calls from this company at least 3-4 times a week for the past 3 months, and I'm so beyond tired of it.  I've called at least 6 times to tell them that who they're looking for does not live here and to take my number off their list, and it just doesn't seem to happen.

Yes.  I too receive these very annoying calls.  They're not as frequent as yours though.  Who are these people?  I never return the call because they leave absolutely no information. "Call us regarding the file in our office", what file?  They could at least be more specific.

Anyway, I'm tired of them calling.

this is a colection agency.dnt call them back.they workfor some columbia house.a guy took a future dated payment from me.& over drafted it..for around $30.00 ...im damn frustrated.dnt pay them a dime

They continue to call daily and ask for us to call back no later than 5:02 eastern standard time regarding a file that they have on their desk ref tc5042.

i get phone calls from 8664088299, they say thier from the tacar group and that i need to call them during business hours. i get a call from them about once a week. if i dont pick up they wont leave a message. who are they and what do they want?

This is funny. I need to call Preston no later tha 5:02pm - what an obscure time - to discuss 'my file that was in his office'. Too bad he called at 5:24pm. Loser. My file number was TC5942 - what is other peoples's number?

How can everyone have the same reference number? Especially if they are individual's debts?

This just doesen't seem like a legitimately professional debt collectors message. The time is strange, no info as to what the file is about. My number was one number off what the others have reported. Did everyone else get the call on verizon cell phones?

DO NOT CALL BACK (866-329-3750) OR OTHER  NUMBERS OR GIVE ANY INFO TO THESE PEOPLE CLAIMING TO BE THE TAKAR GROUP-THEY ARE PHONE SCAMS TRYING TO GET PERSONAL INFO LIKE CREDIT CARD NUMBERS, ETC; THEY'VE CALLED ME, JUST LIKE THE ABOVE PERSON WROTE. PRESTON WATSON, RECORDED MESSAGE, 5:02, FILE NAUMBER THE SAME, ETC;, ETC; I HAVE IMPECCABLE CREDIT, NO OUTSTANDING BILLS, SO THERE IS NO REASON ON EARTH FOR THEM TO BE CALLING. MY NUMBERS ARE ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST ALSO. MUST BE RANDOM DIALING.
BEST ADVICE IS TO REPORT THE NUMBERS TO THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION. THESE SCUMS ARE CREATIVE AND WILL TRY ANYTHING TO MANIPULATE PEOPLE INTO REVEALING PERSONAL INFORMATION.

866-329-3750..many different numbers from this phony business. Came through on my Verizon cell phone many times. Phone scamming-do not give out any info, btter yet, do not answer call and certainly do not return the call. Report to proper authorities. It's a recorded message also.

No, luckily they haven't gotten that number yet. Mine was on my landline. I have been reading of people actually being called at work also.

I have now receive three phone messages stating:  "This is Preston Watson with the Takar Group.  Call me back at 1-866-329-3564 no later than 5 p.m. eastern standard time to discuss your case in our office.  Your reference number is TC 5041."  Twice I called back and spoke to someone using a bogus name (same voice different name).  They said they were looking for Trevor Carl.  Twice now I have told them they had the wrong number and not to call back.  After the third call back I was placed on hold.  So I hung up and decided to check online to see if it was a legitimate business.

Yeah, they've been calling me for months and never give any information on what they're calling about.  I haven't called them back, because they don't give me any information ahead of time.  I'm sick of the phone messages.  They call every day and leave the recorded message.  I don't trust them.

Was waiting for an important call today from 800 number so picked up when call came in. Identified as "Tacar Group" and asked me to call. Thought it might have something to do with call I was waiting for so I phoned back. A girl answered and was really vague on who they are. So I hung up as obviously it wasn't the call I was waiting for. Don't think it is a collection agency as I don't have debts and have good credit.
Probably some sleeze balls with a new scam.

Interesting develpment as they actually called FROM this number but didn't leave a message. They previously masked their calls. And since they called at 12:25pm, that certainly would have given me enough time to call by "5:02pm EST". Ha Ha. Losers.
