I received a message from the takar group of companies stating to call them with a reference number similar to the ones above.  I called the number and they stated that I owed 24.00 to BMG and if i didnt pay then it would adversely effect my credit.  I told the lady that I havent dealt with BMG for many years and i fulfilled my agreement with them and that the account was closed.  The lady said that she would have BMG call me.  I asked her to give me BMG's number so I could talk to them and she told me that she was not allowed to give that information.......okay that seems shady.  And if anybody knows anything.....mail order companies do not have your SS#.  How do I report this?

I've been getting multiple calls a day from this number. I called them back and could not understand the man who answered. I asked him to repeat the company name. He insisted that he needed my phone number to look up my information. I refused asking him the nature of the call and you could hear his frusteration. I hung up and called back thinking I could get a different rep that could speak better english but it was the same guy. I still didn't know who they were or what they wanted. I figured if it was that important they could leave a message.

I'm getting bombarded by 866.329.3750. The number comes up on the caller ID and once they left a message about some file - most of the time they don't leave a message. I'm registered on every stinking Do Not Call registry out there. How/Why are they calling my number? I tired calling back once to tell them to remove me from thier call list and some man with a pakistan/indian accent was on the machine. It asked if I wanted to leave a message press 1 and then I was transfered to an automated message box entitled 2147. Obviously, I left no message. I am going to answer the next call from that number as give them the "what for" if you know what I mean.

So very annoying everyday for 3 weeks now an automated message has been left on my voicemail.  No detail as to what it may be regarding I refuse to call back.  Kathy Smith is her name she calls at 8:15am sharp and 4:45pm everyday.

they will keep calling until they get their money they dont care if its you they are looking for or not. call the police asap!! trust me

the number wasn't the above number but 1-866-408-8299 they call and say that they have a file in their office and I must return their call immediately and I have no clue why and I owe no one anything.

Person identified himself as "with the TACAR GROUP" and used my first name.  I asked "what is this about?"  He refused to say anything but kept repeating "is this ____ ," using my first name.  I again asked "what is this about?"  I terminated the call.  The caller ID showed 866 408-8299.

They called me from 866-408-8299.  First some cow yelling that I had to call about something or a decision will be made without input from me...on what?  My son picked up once and some lady just fired questions about our identity at him ~ they didn't even know my last name.  Then he was told it could all be just cleared up if he gave her "his" SIN number.  yeah that's happening.  

It's a scam ~ if you check their website....no links work.  It's a fake page.

We got a call from the Tacar Group also, they are now using a new number for call back. It is 866-246-3871

I just received a call from 866 408 8299, I answered it since i owe nobody a cent. same message as the other posters ...they are from the tachar group of companies trying to get in touch with me to make a decision on my behalf to call them back.So  i called back and got their answer machine. and left a profane message for about 15 min. give or take. I wonder How STUPID do they really think you are? LMFAO!!!

I just got my first call from 1-866-408-8299 the TACAR GROUP. Man I sure am glad that I found this website I was getting worried. I received a voice mail from one mean sounding lady stating that she was from TACAR GROUP and I needed to call them back or else they would be making a desicion about some file. This has me pissed off! TACAR MUST BE STOPPED !!!!! BUNCH OF SCUMBAGS GIVEN PEOPLE HEART ATTACKS.

when i called back and asked who they were only response was Tacar Group

would not respond with anything else until I revealed the phone number of

where i received the message...Ihung up. . . .

I got a call from them about 7:30 tonight from 1-866-408-8299, with a pre-recorded voice saying that a decision would be made on my file if I didn't call them back immediately. I did, and got the message, "There is no one here to take your call. Please leave a message." Boy, did I ever. This Tachar Group is such a scam; I pay my bills on time and in full. I'm writing to the FTC about these scumbags.

call me asap, why wont they tell you what it is in regaurd to. they called me from 866 408 8299! sounds like bull honkey to me.

I just rec'd the same type of call--responded to a voice mail left on my business phone told to call 866-408-8299 and got a deep voiced guy on the other end.  He said I owed 24.94 for a Columbia House debt.  I haven't done business with CH for five years!.  He tried to bully me into paying the $ rather than have my "credit marred."  I laughed out loud.  I said no way would I pay for anything.  He said CH reported that they sent me mail and demands in 2008--never happened.  He kept repeating that some people would rather pay the $ than have their credit 'ruined.'  Again, I just laughed out loud.  Said go ahead and do what you want--I'll file an objection to anything that appears on my credit report.  I have a feeling this is a scam to get people's bank/credit card info and the amount of $24 or $25.00 is not so high that most people would just cave in and pay it.  He also said he doesn't have to provide me with any proof of debt--really!  I know better than that.

Scam collection call--phony website; asking for payment of small amount from a former vendor, i.e., Columbia House--(everyone has had dealings with them!) and say they don't have to provide proof of debt!  He said he would report this to on my credit report if I didn't pay.  I told him to do his thing...this is a scam and there are several emails from people getting the same calls--from Taccar Group, Takar Group, or Tacar Group--

866-408-8299 - call about twice a day. Same message being left as described below. Will calling the authorities really do any good?
