- LindaThey just called me twice. The connection was so bad, I couldn't understand a word they said.
I don't have a mortgage or any past due debts.
But I have a very common name, so I get a lot of calls from a lot of jerks. - JennyI don't know who they are, they keep calling and I can't figure out the company. When I call, it says I can't call the number from my area. They're asking for someone who doesn't even live here.

- Fedup replies to HappyCamper| 3 repliesSRG now says they made a mistake and they're sorry! It may take me a while but I would like to put together a class action suit against SRG. I will post another up date after I do some additional investigating.
- Fedup replies to jessicaIf there was a deficiency on your foreclosure, ie, you borrowed 200,000 and the house was sold for 100,000 = a 100,000 deficiency, then fannie mae may try to recover the deficiency. SGR is an unscrupulous debt collection agency, very unprofessional personnel, and will try to intimidate and harass you into payment. They get 50% of what they collect. If you don’t have a deficiency, DO get in touch with your state attorney general’s office (consumer protection division) and file a complaint. Otherwise, try calling fannie mae direct to make sure SRG really represents them. Personally, I would never pay them without a court order to do so and even then I would get a lawyer to contest it.
- Fedup replies to steveinMD| 10 repliesIf anyone wants to join me in a class action suite against SRG please let me know by replying to this post. I will give you the email/address of my attorney who is willing to file on our behalf. These jerks deserve it!
- bill replies to FedupI am willing. I have settlement letters from original creditor and they are still calling and pushing for more money!
- billI have been called by this company and let them know I had already settled over a year ago with my past mortgage compnay...they said they would need to look into it?? I have already gone through the headaches of this a few years back and settled.. Now I have to revisit and deal with them trying to squeeze money out of me? After I told them I settled they asked if i could forward them information on settlement! Is it any of their business? they are now sending letters asking for more info? I am contacting my attorney and wish there was a way I could sue them and have them deal with me instead of me having to take time and deal with them!

- Fed Up with them... replies to Fedup| 2 repliesHi There,
I would be interested in joining a class action. These people have been harassing me for several years -- and I have invested countless hours sending them documentation to show that I do not owe the debt they claim. They bounce the file around to a new person every six months. I am so tired of it. If there is a class action under consideration, please post details and I will contact you with my story.
Thanks. - jerseygirl84I had a 2nd mortgage through Cenlar who apparently transferred it to Strategic Recovery Group on 10/03/2011. Today is 11/11/2011 and I still have heard nothing from them. I have tried calling and they put you on hold so long that you're forced to leave a message. Well, they never call me back! Today I am attempting to call again, and have been on hold for at least 45 mins now. I am getting very frustrated and angry. I am now 2 months behind on my payments because no one can tell me where to send my payments. Not sure what to so now, I feel like they are doing this on purpose to make me fall behind.

- AnnoyedMotherThese people have been calling my cell. There's never a message on my v/m from them, & I have yet to try & call them back.
But after reading all these posts, I'm very curious as to how they got my number. We do NOT own a house- never have. We rent from a family member- who has not foreclosed or anything (they've lived in this house for like 60-something years).
HELP! How do I get these people to disappear?- Caller: SRG
- HelperPick up the phone the next time they call they are violating TCPA and FDCPA laws by harassing a non-debtor on your cell phone and you will be suing them if the calls don't stop.
